In January of 2009, Billings Clinic unveiled an all employee learning experience around service or as referred to at Billings Clinic, Personal Service Excellence (PSE). The event was designed and delivered by staff for staff with the intent of celebrating the Billings Clinic service journey AND raising the organizational expectations of how staff serve each other and patients and guests. By tapping into the creative thinking and performing arts talent of their internal staff, the learning experience was transformed into a “Hollywood” awards ceremony with singing, comedy and drama. The organization’s conference center was transformed into a performing arts theater as the PSE 2010 show ran for its 15 show tour sometimes entertaining audiences of over 200 staff. The event was such a complete success it has become the “opening act” of new employee orientation.
