Why I need a dog

Did you know that 44.8 million people in the United States have dogs? That indicates that dogs must be really good pet .I want a dog so it would protect the family, teach me to be more responsible, and be a good companion to the whole family.
A dog could be a good security system and protect the family. If someone would try to break in the dog could warn us. The dog could also warn us if someone tries to hurt us. Last, the dog could protect us from other animals. A good security system would be a dog.
A dog would also teach me to be more responsible. It would teach me to remember to take it out for a walk, to take it to the bathroom, to feed it, and the play with it. Also, it would teach me to take care of pets because it would need me to take care of it. Last, it would teach me to give my time to something besides myself. If you want me to be more responsible than we should get a dog.
A dog would be a good companion to the family. It would comfort us when we have had a bad day by wagging its tail and greeting us at the door. A dog would also be a friend when we have problems. Also, the dog would be a friend by being nice and sweet. Last, it would play with us when we are bored and have nothing to do. A good companion to the family would be a new dog.
A dog is a very good pet because it could protect the family, it would teach me to be more responsible, and be a good companion to the whole family. A dog would be a great and wonderful addition to the family.
