Welcome to Xtreme KidFit!
832-597-3343
We are an Before and After School and Summer Camp program for ages 5 and up. Although we are a state licensed daycare, we prefer to think of our program as more of an athletic youth camp that will prepare the youth in the basic skills that will help them in any athletic endeavor they may have in their future. We encourage the kids to get up and play rather than go sit down and be quiet. There is no other After-school program that is designed and operated by anyone with more qualification and experience in lifelong fitness and childcare together. We take pride in the selection of our staff and only hire athletic role models to lead your children. Our philosophy at Xtreme KidFit is to help improve your child’s health, coordination, concentration, discipline, confidence, and awareness so that they may lead a happy, healthy and productive life.
At Xtreme KidFit, our day during the school year, starts when kids from grades K-5 are brought to the gym by Barber’s Hill ISD school buses. If your child attends a school other than one in the Barber’s Hill school district, please talk to a staff member about other arrangements or one of our other locations. Once the kids are here, they are given a snack and a chance to unwind from the school day. We then have a variety of activities which allow your child to benefit from both physical and social activity. We strive to provide an active and entertaining atmosphere here at the gym.
Some of our activities include:
- Tumbling
- Cycling
- Martial Arts
- Dodge ball
- Volleyball
- Educational Activities
- Homework help
- Triathlon Training
- Swimming
We also offer a summer camp program that includes Swimming, Martial Arts, field trips and much more!

During the summer program, transportation to and from field trips and other activities will be via the facility bus or staff member vehicle, in accordance with state regulated teacher-student ratios.
After School arrival: Once children arrive for after school camp, they will be provided a snack and allowed to play outdoors and participate in indoor activities. Homework assistance will be given if needed. It will be the child’s duty to let the staff know if they need help. Parents may contact staff about their child needing help to do homework too.
Field Trips: Field trips are an integral part of our summer camp program and will be taken as frequently as possible. Field trips may include movies, park outings, and swimming, just to name a few. A schedule of field trips and activities will be posted on the bulletin board each week.
Parent/Facility Communication: All notices and announcements will be posted on the bulletin board at the gym. Please check the board regularly. If you would like to schedule a conference with the staff, please see a staff member to schedule a day and time for the discussion. If you have a concern, please talk to the staff. It’s important to let us know about things that may affect how your child is doing when in our care.
Parent Participation: If you wish to volunteer time, provide donations, or participate in an activity, please see a staff member. We seek your active involvement as parents. We invite your ideas and suggestions and hope you will share them with us often.
Birthday Parties: If you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday at the gym, you are welcome to do so. Parents will provide all food, drinks and supplies. The day is special for each child and will be recognized by the gym whether you send supplies or not. Weekend party rental available; please ask our staff for our information.
Animals: The state requires that if we choose to have animals on the premises, we must notify parents in writing when animals are going to be present. If you would like to bring an animal, please ask, because there are certain state standards that we must abide by and some of the children have allergies.
Moonlighting: We do not encourage our staff to baby sit before or after hours. If they choose to do so, the daycare will not be responsible for anything that may happen to your child while he or she is in their care. Also, our facility may not be used at all for this purpose.
Clothing: Please label all of your child’s clothing and belongings. We will not be held responsible for lost or damaged property. WE do have a lost and found, so if you’re missing something, please check there. All unclaimed items left at the end of each month will be given to charity.
Records: Daily attendance will be kept on file as well as notifications of sickness, accidents or any other special topics.
Food policies: For children arriving after school, they will be provided a snack. During the summer camp and holidays that children are here all day they are provided a mid morning snack and afternoon snack. We ask that for lunch that you send a sack lunch with your child.
Medical: In order to protect all children enrolled in the gym, your child must be kept home if he/she exhibits any of the following symptoms:
- An oral temperature of over 100 degrees.
- Intestinal disturbance accompanied by diarrhea or vomiting.
- An undiagnosed rash.
- Sore or discharging eyes or ears.
- Profuse nasal discharge.
- Lice.
If your child develops any of these symptoms while at the gym, we will contact you to arrange a time for pickup. If your child is sent home from the gym, we ask that he/she does not return until 24 hours after the symptoms have diminished. This measure is necessary in order to curtail the spread of infection.
Should your child require medication while in our care, the staff will only be able to administer it when accompanied by a medication form that has been completed and signed by you. This is a state requirement. Prescription medication can only be administered if it is n the original container and has not exceeded the expiration date.
Should your child be involved in any accident while in our care that we feel needs immediate medical attention, he/she will be taken to the closest emergency room and his/her physician wil be called. That is why it is important that the gym has your authorization for emergency medical care.
Employee Vaccines: As per state regulations; we do not require employees to be vaccinated for preventable diseases. Some or all employees may choose to be vaccinated at their own discretion.
Fire/Emergency Drills: We are required by state licensing and the Fire Marshal to perform monthly fire drills and quarterly bad weather drills. This means that your child will have to arrive at daycare with a pair of shoes. We have to go outside during these drills, and they have to have shoes on to do so.
Discipline: Any child presenting a discipline problem will be made aware of his/her actions in a polite, yet strict, manner. Parents will receive an incident report for any disciplinary infraction that might involve the injury of another child, failure to follow rules and regulations, destruction of property and any other action deemed to be a problem by the Xtreme KidFit staff.
We reserve the right to search all personal belonging at any time to insure the safety of our students and property. We also reserve the right to expel any student, at any time, if he/she has demonstrated an unwillingness to follow our policies.
Complaints or Concerns: We take great pride in operation a top quality school where children may learn and grow in a fun and healthy atmosphere. However, we are always open for suggestions for improvement, concerns, or complaints. If you have a concern to share with us, please contact the School’s owner or director. We are always happy to receive your input.
Drop-Off/Pick-up Procedures: When picking up or dropping off your child, parents must come into the facility and sign in or out your child. If you wish for someone other than those listed on your emergency information form to pick up your child, you must notify the gym. Your child will not be released to any unauthorized person without your permission.
Divorced Parents/Custody Battles: We cannot have parents fighting at the center over who picks up the child. If it has to be, we will require a divorce decree be placed on file explaining who has legal right to have the child at certain times. If there is ever a disagreement, authorities will be notified. Also, we will not release a child to a parent who has been drinking or is drunk. We will call the person on the child’s emergency contact or we will take the child home and offer the parent a ride. If any problem/disagreement occurs, authorities will be notified and an incident report will be put in the child’s folder.
Children must be picked up by 6:30 PM. A charge of $1.00 per minute after that (by our clock) will be assessed.
If the facility makes any change in any of these policies, each parent will be notified and asked to sign a statement that lets the state know that you received the changed policy and understand what it means. Also, it is the parent’s responsibility to update their child’s enrollment form when a change occurs.
Parents are always welcome to review a copy of the minimum standards and the child care centers most recent licensing inspection report. These items must remain at the facility so if you need to see any of this, please feel free to contact us and we can set up a time for you to come in and review them.
