Section Goals and how the activities help to achieve the stated goals:
Increase membership, initiate direct and frequent contact with existing members, identify programs and activities that align with membership demographics and continue support to STEM-related projects.
Planned and proposed activities are centered on majority of the membership class (senior, professional members).
Membership Recruitment Initiatives:
Council is committed to increasing membership by having membership forms and council members on hand during AIAA sponsored events to help promote the advantages of an AIAA membership.

Vice-Chair Education is formulating letter to the Young Professionals to gauge their interest in the Rocket Competition. It was mentioned that Scott Beatty (TBR) can coach on how to start a rocket team.
Honors and Awards:
Vice-Chair Membership is in progress of advancing more members to Associate Members.
K-12 STEM Outreach Activities:
TARC - Two teams entered for TARC and have started organizational meetings. There is a high school team of veterans and a team of 7th/8th graders. There is interest in starting a 3rd team.
SLI will start at the end of September.
Technical Activities:
Speaker Series: September 27th, Special Guest Speaker, Chuck Killberg, Chief Pilot for Boeing Test & Evaluation, will discuss recent Boeing fight test programs, including videos of the 787 Dreamliner and 747-8 Freighter and Intercontinental.
ASAT 2012 “Save the Date” May 19, 2012 publication sent out to members for planning purposes.
Education Activities:
Payload - Launch a Quadricoptor. Talking to Tom Hanan about acting as a mentor.
Public Policy Activities:
Working on a meeting with local representatives.
