The embedded Media Player Bar, whichstations install directly into their site,is a user experience breakthrough,enabling users to surf the site without interrupting the stream.
Embedded on each page, the Media Player Bar eliminates the need for third party pop-out players,which, until now, have been an industry standard. Typically, they force listeners to leave the station’s site to interact with the player.Ultimately stations prefer to keep their audiences on their sites. Thisproblemhas become more acute as audiences migrate to mobile devices to listen and surf. TheMedia Player Barkeeps the audience on each station’s site, and is mobile-friendly. It employs responsive web design, which lets it adjust to any screen size, ensuring a consistent user experience across computers, tablets and mobile devices.
Additionally, theMedia Player Bar is a media “tuner,” playing all media types, video, broadcast streams and on-demand audio. This “tuner” functionality gives the user a practical and seamless way to play all the media the station curates, eliminating the problem of multiple audio sources playing at the same time. The TuneGenie® Media Player Bar, is a WordPress plug-in, which easily installs and activates into any WordPress site. For non-WordPress sites, the code is simple enough to drop into the site. Stations can configure colors, placement of the bar, and other features.
About the Media Player Bar
The Media Player Bar features a content tray which rises to display all the traditional TuneGenie® music content such as lyrics, concert listings, artists’ social feeds, music videos plus track and album history. TuneGenie’s broadcast history display widgets also interact with the Media Player Bar. Users can click on any content - a video or lyric from a playlist history widget for instance - and the content tray will display the requested information from the Media PlayerBar.
From the content tray or site widgets, audiences can now vote for any song they interact with on each station and those votes are tabulated for each station’s review in their new TuneGenie® CMS. Custom messages and logos/images can be scheduled to display on the Media Player Bar as well. Also streams, video, and on-demand audio played by the Media Player Bar can now have pre-roll video for each.
The Media Player Bar is now being deployed across the 900+ affiliates of TuneGenie®. It is free for any existing affiliate, and available to be licensed via cash or barter for new clients.
