Railway lines in the solution of transport mobility issues: socio-political aspect

In XXI century transport system came to quite another level, so long as global process gave the status of the most important element in economics administration of to the national systems. It changed the nature of socio-political dynamics significantly, and transport component is getting more and more important in the trends of international division of labour.

Transport and communication component will play sufficiently great role in world socio-political life, and it’s likely to be growing, so long as there is a tendency of permanent transformation of world space, extending process of international division of labour, and also increasing people’s mobility.

Researchers stress the tendency of growth of transport factor significance in European political space. It relates to great package of issues and reasons, including, issues of links between environment and transport mobility, choice of transport priority and new actors impact on these processes, active integration of states of Western Europe through creation of international transport infrastructure which becomes the central aspect of European integration.

The solution of mega polis transport issue, connected with fast auto mobilization in Russian towns, will have actual political significance in the nearest future. It requires adequate measures for its pressure reduction.

By crude estimates of experts, approximately 3,5 billion dollars is spent for fuel because of auto dumping only in Moscow. More wide-spread use of present railways as one of the most effective kind of transport in the zone “town-suburb” with its great impact on development of towns and cities is able to impact on transport issue solution.

In the conditions of profitable position and growing speed of trains movement, railways get quite competitive in fight for cargo and passenger flows. In Great Britain organization of transport traffic is used as the means of policy in the solution of transport mobility and accessibility issues. Experts stress the shift towards organization of accessibility of movement in the space through public transport creation as main facility in the town borders and its political impact growth.

In the European cities, for example Switzerland, there is already service resembling town railway, there are also new opportunities in creation and realization of speed railways projects in the conditions of great English mega polis. The growing global concern for growth of auto mobilization requires both shift of priorities towards more ecological kinds of transport and decision of this issue by using of actual socio-political instruments and mechanisms.
