Position: Top 4What we’ve been doing in the last month:
Alice –
· Undergoing work as part of ongoing audit.
· Met with and have a good relationship with the new financial director.
Steven –
· Met with Jenny to discuss INTO issues
· Met with NUS contact to commence a strategic plan diagnostic review
· Looking into plans and ideas to make election process more engaging
· Lots of welcome speeches etc at interview days.
· Sat on biomed committee for the biomed course restructure which will see biomed students disaggregate from the MBBS students during Y1/2
· Held the second Trustee board meeting.
· Working alongside deputy director of estates to address the possibility of a rapid drop in RLSC memberships in the light of a budget gym opening on Garratt Lane.
· RAG week money ebing counted next week.
· Organised a Commercial meeting. The shop is up £3.6K from this point last year!
· Made constitutional amendments with exec/council re. elections etc.
Kat –
· Wellbeing Week! WENT REALLY WELL J

What’s coming up in the next month:

· AWE gave a verbal summary to accompany the report.
· AO: What does it mean biomed is being disaggregated from the medics?
· AWE: IFP is being scrapped. The new biomed course will be a more focused degree e.g. biomedical sciences in neurology.
· RP: Szarko said that the medical course will be completely separate.
· AWE: I don’t know who will be left with who.
· RP: Apparently the medics have pulled out.
· KC: What INTO issues?
· AWE: The GMC audit and the INTO students gave statements. Steven brought it up at SGUL council today. We have nothing physical to show, but trust us when we say we are fighting for you every step of the way at every meeting possible.
· CM: The focus is on welfare for the INTO students.

Year 1
IntroductionWe are the Year 1 Biomedical Science reps, Gabriela and Sunil
What have we done since the last meeting
-We have encouraged the BMS cohort to complete the SES and tablet survey
-Taken note of and solved some of the issues that were made through the online suggestion box
-Met up with a few people about Moodle/tutor issues (all sorted)
-Made an announcement and Facebook post about noise in lectures
-Sent Kat the data we collected from the Mandatory lecture survey
-Dealt with complaint about the exam and kept the cohort updated about what has been said
-Attended Biomedical Science committee meetings
-Promoted Wellbeing week
What have you got coming up in the next month
-Confirm with Karolina if Moodle will be opened for the remaining weeks of semester two.
-Enquiring about mock exams, in the BMS committee meetings and distributed this information with the cohort.

Bismill Mushtaq and Shahir Ali, Year 2 Biomedical Sciences
What have we done since the last meeting
· POLLS: Compulsory lectures 108 voted no, 0 voted yes
· POLLS: non accredited degree: 107 voted no, 1 voted yes
· We have alerted people to fill in their 3rd year module choices before the upcoming deadline
· Attended a course committee meeting and given feedback to the cohort
· Fought for a mock synoptic exam after easter – we had one in first year but the Year 2 lead wants to take it away because he doesn’t feel its helpful in improving grades, although we do and we believe more would attend
· Collected more information on the exciting Msci course coming up, including a year in Barcelona in fourth year
· Told people to do the SES survey
What have you got coming up in the next month
· We will have finalised module choices and any last minute swaps
· Start preparing for exams
· Start to dish out dissertation choices for next year

What have we done since the last meeting
· We all sat a statistic exam on Thursday the 8th.
· We also had a feedback session on the courses as a whole with the organisers.
o Most of our lectures for our modules are coming towards the end.
What have you got coming up in the next month
· We are having a meeting to discuss the course/ how the 3rd year has gone/ induction to 4th year and discus projects.
· There are also ICA deadlines coming up.
· ZC gave a verbal summary of the report
· If you fail year 3 of MSci then you get a non-accredited BSc.

Year 1
IntroductionWe are Y1 representatives for HCS- Mohnisha & Ioana
What have we done since the last meeting
- We have sent out a questionnaire to officially get the comment of our cohort in making the lectures compulsory. The results have been emailed to Kat from us.
- We have also had a few problems lately and we met with our course head and discussed them, hopefully they should be sorted out soon.
- Planned our HCS trip! Yay!
What have you got coming up in the next month
- Going on our trip
- Following up with our course head about the problems that have been brought to our attention.

Year 2
IntroductionLaura Amarin and Charlie Corfield – HCS Year 2 representatives.
What have we done since the last meeting
- All of our cohort are on placement. Clinical tutors have visited each placement site and everyone is well under way completing their on site assessments.
- Research methods’ essays have been submitted and PP2 results have been distributed.
- Discussion within cohort on end of year ball dates.
What have you got coming up in the next month
- Year 2 placement blocks come to a close, and cohort will return to university for the rest of the year.
- Will plan year meal.
- Revision sessions to take place for cohort.
- Keep in contact with freshers and see how their placement is going.
