MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

The Earl Grey Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated, energetic individual who is seeking a willingness to accept new challenges and work effectively as a team member to provide quality financial services to our members.
The Position: This position will provide members and potential members with a variety of services and the promotion and sales of cash and non-cash related deposit products and services with courtesy and accuracy. The incumbent will respond to member and potential member inquiries; and assist members to utilize the product and/or service that best meet their needs.
Responsibilities will include:
¨ Process member requests for cash withdrawals, deposits to accounts, account updates, cheque orders, card orders, account statements, opening/closing accounts, etc.
¨ Informing and responding to member’s inquiries by providing information on the full range of products and services, including deposits,investment alternatives, electronic services and affiliate service providers.
¨ Recognize member needs and promote and cross-sell credit union products and services by explaining the features and benefits and referring more complex requests for information and assistance to other staff
¨ Foster business development through service excellence and product knowledge
PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:
¨ Minimum of 1 year Post Secondary Education in related discipline
¨ Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
¨ Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development demonstrated by a willingness to change, acquire new skills and take on new responsibilities.
¨ Preference given to applicants with Working knowledge of basic accounting.
¨ Personal computer skills with experience using the Internet and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
¨ Preference given to applicants with Financial Service Industry experience with a knowledge of financial products and services
THE CREDIT UNION: The Earl Grey Credit Union has Assets of $35 million. As a full service operation, we have 5 Full Time staff and 2 Part Time staff serving just fewer than 900 members.
COMPENSATION: The current salary range for this position is $2,842 to $3,875 per month with an annual salary review. Compensation will commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Earl Grey Credit Union has an employee health benefits package and matched 6% retirement savings plan.
