One of the most beautiful weddings of the year was the marriage Tuesday of Miss F. Allene Templin, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. O. E. Templin, and Ray E. Applebaugh, son of Mrs. Myrtle Applebaugh of Salina, Kans.

The impressive single ring ceremony was solemnized at 7:30 p.m. in the Methodist church. Rev. H. M. Templin of Delta, Colo., uncle of the bride, officiated at the wedding assisted by Rev. George Parkhurst, pastor of the Methodist church in Alva.

The church was beautifully decorated in green and white. The altar before which the bridal party stood was banked with green fern and pine and white gladioli and lighted with white cathedral tapers in two floor candelabra. The green and white floral theme was also used for the aisle decorations.

Preceding the ceremony Mrs. John Johntz sang “Ava Maria” by Gounod and “Because” by D’Hardelot. She was accompanied by Frank Whiteside.

Miss Gladys Brockus, wearing a taffeta Victorian dress of pastel green and carrying a bouquet of cream and white Marguerites tied with green tulle, lighted the tapers as Mr. Whiteside played “Evening Prayer” on the organ.

For processional Mr. Whiteside played the “bridal Chorus” by Lohengrin and he used Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March” for the recessional. During the ceremony he played softly “Ava Maria.”

Miss Pauline Templin of Tulsa, sister of the bride, was maid-of-honor. She wore a pine green velvet Victorian dress, floor length, and carried a green orchid tied with a large green velvet bow.

The two bridesmaids were Miss Viola Pennington, who wore an eggshell taffeta gown, also made Victorian, and carried a bouquet of cream and white marguerites tied with eggshell tulle, and Miss Gladys Brockus.

The bride, who entered with and was given away by her father, was lovely in a white satin, Victorian gown with a long train and long, pointed sleeves. Her long bridal veil was fastened to a white satin band with a spray of orange blossoms in front. For something borrowed she wore a pearl necklace and for something old and something blue she wore a pair of lovely old earrings with blue stones. She carried a prayer book and a white orchid tied with white satin.

Ross Applebaugh, twin brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Ushers were Warne Templin, brother of the bride, and Bill Gruber. All the men were in formal dress.

Mrs. O. E. Templin, mother of the bride, was dressed in a floor length blue velvet gown with hairdress to match. Mrs. Myrtle Applebaugh, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black velvet, floor length dress with a gold hairdress.

Approximately two hundred friends and relatives of the couple were present at the pretty weedding.

The room was attractive with white gladioli and greenery. The lace covered serving table was centered with a three-tiered wedding cake decorated in white and gold and topped with a miniature bride and groom. On either side of the cake were white chrysanthemums and green tapers.

Presiding at the table were Miss Dorothy Channel and Miss Estelle Manire. Music was furnished by Mrs. C. A. Parker and James Brakebill.
