Dear 2017 Class Trip Participant

Dear 2017 Class Trip Participant,

We just wanted to be sure you had all relevant information regarding the Senior Trip on Monday June 5, 2017. We have 89 cooperative participants and are looking forward to a fun-filled day at Cedar Crest College, Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom. After reading the information below, if you have any questions please contact Mr. Guenther at

1. Trip includes a FREE all you can eat breakfast (see menu) at Cedar Crest College and a FREE Dorney Park FoodVoucher (good for one meal). Any additional food or beverage will need to be purchased with your own money.

2. Upon arrival at Dorney Park, you will receive back the $10 trip deposit as cash. This can be used as necessary for food, beverage or souvenirs. You should think carefully if you will need more spending money than this. It is not wise to bring an excessive amount of extra cash. If you do not attend the trip on June 5, you will forfeit your $10 deposit.

3. The “dress code” is obviously very relaxed considering most of the day will be spent in DP &WWK, however, please be sure to be covered appropriately for our visit at Cedar Crest College. We will be interacting with Cedar Crest College staff and others. Also if you choose to be a participant in the Stage Hypnosis Live Show, some “skits” become very physically active, i.e. jumping, stretching, dancing, so it is important that your clothing keep you appropriately covered.

A set of dry clothes would also be a good idea after the water park, even if you don’t think you will, the lure of cool water on a hot June day might just draw you in. You will NOT want a 75 minute ride home in wet clothes.

4. You are expected to arrive by 7:00 AM at the Varsity Gym (park in Holly Drive student lot.) We need to check in all students and will leave promptly at 7:15 to stay on schedule for the day. The trip to Allentown is relatively short (about 75-90 minutes) and we are having breakfast, so there is little need for extra food to be brought. NO FOOD or DRINK can be taken into Cedar Crest College or Dorney Park.

5. Please be respectful, polite, and orderly while enjoying the hospitality of Canova Commons on the Cedar Crest College campus. You will be able to select breakfast food items of your choice and will bus your own utensils and tray when done. Please take notice or ask for the appropriate location and procedure to clean up after yourself.

6. We will remain at Cedar Crest for the Stage Hypnosis Live show with Tim Miller. Typically Tim will select 10 – 15 willing volunteers. More information is available at

7. We should be arriving at Dorney Park between 11:30 -12:00, and that will give us 7.5 – 8 hours at the two amusement parks. Please come prepared with sunscreen and appropriate clothing for a full day in the sun. Keep hydrated with plenty of water during the day as well. Contact one of the chaperones if you are not feeling well.

8. You will need to have a face-to-face check-in with your assigned chaperone between 3:00 – 3:30 pm at a location that will be provided that day. Please be prompt allowing for walk time to the check-in location.

9. We are planning to depart Dorney promptly at 7:30 pm. Again, please allow enough walk time from your location in the park to arrive at the bus by 7:15PMso we can be assured everyone is back safely.

We will arrive back at the BHS/BMS Varsity Gym at approximately 9:00 PM

** Please give us a list of the one or several people with whom you will be with most of the day so we can build the bus lists. Please keep the list to between 2 – 6 names. Please speak with each person so that their name does not end up in multiple groups. E-mail the list to or leave with Mrs. Sponenberg in Room 64 NOW / ASAP. We would like to post the bus lists Friday morning on the OH-ONE-SEVEN Wall.

Thank you, Mr. Guenther & Mrs. Sponenberg
