CONTRIBUTION TO KNOWLEDGE

My scholarship spans postcolonialism and gender. The postcolonial theory approach has enabled me to address the issue of cultural identity and culture conflict in Francophone African literature.

Besides, I adopted Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory to analyse the issue relating to sex and sexuality as well as the binary opposition relating to Naturel/perverse .

In sum, I have been able to draw attention to the fact that both issues of hybridisation and gender divide will persistently be cultural challenges in Francophone communities
