The Apprenticeship programme is designed for recent school leavers who expect to gain at least three GCSEs/ Standard Grades/ Intermediate Level 2s, including Maths and English. During the programme, we'll develop your aptitude for working with cars into a career.
Whilst under 18 trainees will work towards a recognised certificate spending some time away from home in a training centre as well as on the job training at their designated branch. The hours will be 39.5.
Starting salary will be £126.92 per week (£6,600 per annum) paid monthly – reviewed on performance.
Interviews will commence at the end of May, beginning of June with a view to starting successful applicants in early July 2012.

Pathway/ Modern Apprenticeship in Business/ Administration

Pathway is a unique 2 year apprenticeship scheme for Midlothian’s young people offered by the Scottish Qualifications Authority. It is open to all school leavers wanting a career in business and administration. Training for Care – Modern Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care SVQ 2
Requirements: Suitable for 16-19 year olds (must be under 20 at start of course due to funding commitments). Enthusiasm and a real interest in contributing positively to people’s quality of life are essential. Relevant work experience or evidence of other care activities are desirable as is Standard Grade English at level 4 or above. If no Standard Grade at this level then applicants can still apply if they can demonstrate enthusiasm and interest.
If applicants already have a job in social care they will need their employer’s permission to attend the course. If applicants do not have a job in care if they are successful at interview then they will try and match them with a suitable MA.
