AP Human Geography Culture Conflict Scrapbook

Task: Compile a scrapbook showing examples of cultural conflict in the world in the areas of gender, race, language, and religion.

Steps:

  1. Research the 4 topics using the internet, newspapers, and magazines to find articles or photos that show cultural conflict.
  2. Choose 3 articles (news or research) and 3 photos (1 of the 3 can be a cartoon) for EACHof the 4 topics.
  3. Read and write a brief summary (2 paragraphs) for each of the articles.
  4. Write a caption for each of the photos explaining what is occurring in the photo and what the cultural conflict is.
  5. Each article and photo should have a source cited and should be on the page with the article/photo.
  6. Compile the 12 articles and 12 photos in a scrapbook which is divided by topic. Articles and photos can be used only once. Do not share articles/photos with others.
  7. Include a cover page and a table of contents at the beginning of the scrapbook.
  8. At the end of your scrapbook include a map of the worldwith dots locating where your 24 areas of conflict are located. Please use 4 colors, a different one for each topic, and include a key.

Due Date: Friday, November 15th……Time Management is a MUST;do not wait till the last minute.
