City of Emerado Coiuncil Meeting 9-8-2008

CITY OF EMERADO COUNCIL 7-5-2016; 7:00pm

Mayor Dan Henneman presiding

Roll Call: Linneman, Hanson, Lanes andKramer

Absent:

Previous council minutes were reviewed, not changes, minutes were passed.

Finance report reviewed and passed.Sullivan let the council know that she paid for the new vehicle out of the vehicle fund and wanted to know which fund to make the transfer from to balance the fund. Mayor stated that she should pull from the general fund because that is where the bond was added. J. Lanes made a motion to bring the bond back into the vehicle fund and to start building the bond back up. Seconded by T. Kramer. Roll call vote; All in favor. Mayor; Let the record show all in favor.

Police report- Police Chief, D. Lund reported on calls for the month. Vehicle will be here on Monday and then will be brought to Stones to have the cage and extras put into it.

OLD BUSINESS

Invisimax contract was addressed. W. Sullivan let the council know that Invisimax allows 3 free lines of internet service in their contract now. Midcontinent has internet in the office now with the use of the phone lines and Sullivan would like to utilize Midcontinent. Sullivan said the computers have been using Midcontinent the past several months and we have had no problems. Council talked about the different choices that could be written into the contract with Invisimax and came up with an amount of $500.00 per year. J. Linneman made a motion to change the contract from the free service to a cash price of $500.00 per year. Seconded by T. Hanson. Roll call vote; All in favor. Mayor; Let the record show all in favor.W. Sullivan will turn it over to attorney Warcup and have him send a letter to Invisimax with the requested changes.

NEW BUSINESS

W. Sullivan reported 3 water accounts past due. Sullivan asked for the council to check into the duplexes as far as shut offs or curb stops. Council will check into the ordinance and make some decisions.

Water meters will be checked in every house hold to determine what needs to be ordered for the new meters. S. Antonson and W. Sullivan will be starting to check meters the week of July 1, until completed. Pictures will be taken of every meter.

T. Hanson made a motion to pay all bills, Seconded by J. Lanes, Roll call vote; All in favor. Mayor; Let the record show all in favor.

E. Bader asked about spraying weeds in the ravine at the city park. D. Henneman will spray some weed killer in there.

W. Sullivan asked to attend a workshop in Bismarck. Council approved.
