“The Future of Rotary Is in Your Hands”

Chaska Rotary Club

Overarching Goals/Strategies for 2009-2010

1. Grow and sustain membership (We want to be at 100 in 2014-so we need 7 new members in 2009-2010) Mary Welch-Chair

2. Implement a comprehensive public relations/communications campaign. Submit a grant application for financial resources to publish articles in Chaska Herald; coordinate communication/awareness campaign. Wayne Ward- Chair

Establish a Chaska Rotary Web Site using Club Runner-Chair- Dan Keyport

Lead 2-3 Club Assemblies (updates on the club and club’s work) in 2009-2010.- Lynn Ayers

3. Develop and execute successful community and international service projects. Continue to support ongoing local projects, but reassess community needs and club participation. Support International Project in Chimbote and encourage Chaska Club participation in going on a trip to Peru- Peter Ivy-Chair; Explore setting up a Chaska Interact Club for High School Students- Katie Holub-Chair

5. Develop a “Legacy of Leadership” Support sending incoming president elect and vice president to PETS training annually. Encourage and support participation in District events and training. Work to develop a club structure around committees and projects for successful succession planning. Ensure that every member has a service role every year and new members are actively engaged within three months. Actively engage past presidents as mentors and leaders.

6. Make Rotary relevant and meaningful –Explore how to establish a “Rapid Response Team” to respond to unanticipated events like the Red RiverValley ‘09 Flood. Chair- Peter Ivy

How do we accomplish these strategies? “Ordinary people doing extraordinary things!”
