Music Program Hershey Park Adjudication Trip

Report Time at Sandburg Auditorium: 5AM!!!
**Return Time Approximately 10PM at Sandburg**
Dress in CONCERT UNIFORM when you arrive!
(Maroon Music Shirt, Khaki PANTS, dark shoes and socks)
****You will be given a trip t-shirt that you must wear in Hersheypark AFTER you perform**** No exceptions!!!!!
Make sure you bring a pair of shorts and sneakers with you to wear in the park. If it is chilly, have a sweatshirt with you!!
What to bring on the bus with you:
1)Breakfast/Snacks/Packed Lunch for the bus ride TO and FROM
2)Drinks (Water, Gatorade, etc..)
3)SUNSCREEN!!!
4)Cell Phone/Gaming Devices for Bus Ride
5)Back pack to keep your stuff in/Change of Clothes
Remember you are performing in your performing groups before you go to the park!!!!
Once you get to Hershey Park, you will be given your park ticket and your meal voucher that you can use at various stands in the park. This is your meal ticket!!!
Bring Pocket Money for Food, Souvenirs, Etc, in the park (Anywhere from $25 to $50 is fine)
Concert Band, 5th Grade Band and Orchestra Members:
Make sure you bring your instruments and music to school on WEDNESDAY, May 17thand leave your instruments in the Band Room. We are going to pack our equipment truck Thursday Night. We will keep our band and orchestra instruments and give them to you at the school. Do NOT bring your instrument in the morning of the trip because the truck will be PACKED!!!!!
CHAPERONE STUFF:
Every Student on the trip will be assigned a chaperone. You’ll meet your chaperone when you arrive to school in the morning.
Only 5th grade MUST be walking around the park with a parent chaperone that you were assigned.
There will be a chaperone CHECK IN time between 3:45-4PM at the Family Health and Service Center. You MUST check in to make sure that you are okay. The chaperone MUST see you all in person. No texts to your chaperone like, “I’m good, bro” will do! NO EXCEPTIONS!!! GET A MAP!!!!
Every 6th, 7th and 8th grade music student on the trip MUST be in groups of 4 or more in the park. Do NOT get separated from your group. If someone in your group needs to use the restroom, WAIT FOR THEM!! If someone doesn’t want to go on a ride, they mustwait near the ride until you return from that ride.
Please make sure you get the cell phone number of your assigned chaperone. If there is an issue, the parent chaperone will call a teacher to assist.
Where are we performing???We are NOT performing at Hershey Park.
The trip company does not do that.

After we leave the performing school, we will go to Hershey Park. We will stay in Hershey Park the rest of the day. You are NOT allowed to leave the park. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Awards Ceremony at TIDAL FORCE. You must check in with your assigned chaperone at that location at 6:30pm.

5:00AM Report to Carl Sandburg Middle School at the auditorium doors. All Chaperones must park in the 4th section of the Parking Lot
5:15AMMeet and Greet with your assigned chaperones sitting by BUS in the auditorium. We will start the bus loading at this time.
5:30AMDepart Sandburg for Central Dauphin East Middle School. The ride will take approximately 1 Hr and 50 Minutes (116 Miles)
7:30AMArrival at Central Dauphin East Middle School. All Buses will unload and truck crew with help with supervision of emptying equipment truck. Orchestra Students will get off first as they warm up and perform first. Other students unload truck, unpack percussion and set up for warm up in designated spots for Concert Band and 5th Grade Band.
All students not warming up or performing will sit in the auditorium and cheer on their other Sandburg Music Groups!

1:15PMArrival at Hershey Park. Exit Buses and your assigned chaperone will distribute your park ticket and your meal voucher. Your meal voucher is worth $10.60 which you can use at anytime while you are in the park. 5th Grade- You will walk around with your assigned chaperone at all time. 6th, 7th, 8th Grade—You will walk around in groups of 4 of more.
1:30PMFree Time in Hershey Park. You MUST stay in Hershey Park once you are in the park. NO ONE is allowed to leave the park.
3:45PMCheck In with Chaperone at the Family Health and Service Center. EVERY STUDENT MUST CHECK IN! Texts and Phone Calls are NOT ALLOWED to check in! Any student that does not check in during 3:45 and 4PM will be dealt with through Mrs. Kelly and Mr. Albarran. GET A MAP or download the HersheyPark App to find out where this is located.
4:00PMFree Time in Hershey Park
6:30PMCheck In with Chaperone at TIDAL FORCE. Every student MUST check in here with your assigned chaperone. GET A MAP or download the HersheyPark App to find out where this is located.
7:00PM“Music Showcase Festivals” Awards Ceremony. All students in attendance and cheer loudly for awards.
7:30PMExit Hershey Park, Last Minute Bathroom Stop, and Walk to Buses in large groups. You MUST ride the buses back on the ones you came in on. NO EXCEPTIONS.
8:00PMDepart for Carl Sandburg Middle School. The ride will take approximately 1 Hr and 51 Minutes (109 Miles)
10:00PMApproximate Arrival at Carl Sandburg at the auditorium doors. All parents picking up students must NOT park in the fire line. Please park away from that so the buses can get through. Please help assist unloading truck, grab your instrument and enjoy your weekend!
