MINUTES

SPECIAL SESSION – TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL

CALL TO ORDER: / After a good faith effort to assemble a quorum of the Board failed, the Board convened a telephone conference call on March 18, 2008, at 5:36 p.m., at the Department of Health Professions.

QUORUM: / With 8 members present, a quorum was established.

Michael Hechtkopf, D.D.S.
Case No. 113849 / The Board received information from Mr. Schliessmann in order to determine if Dr. Hechtkopf’s practice of dentistry constitutesa substantial danger to public health and safety. Mr. Schliessmann reviewed the case and responded to questions.
DECISION: / Ms. Sissommoved that the Board find that Dr. Hechtkopf’s practice of dentistry does constitute a substantial danger to the public health and safety and to summarily restrict his license to limit his administration of anesthesia, sedation and general anesthesia to only the administration of local anesthesia. The motion was seconded and passed.
Darioush D. Ashouripour, D.D.S.
Case No. 110670 / The Board received information from Mr. Garrett in order to determine if Dr. Ashouripour’s practice of dentistry constitutes a substantial danger to public health and safety. Mr. Garrett reviewed the case and responded to questions.
DECISION: / Dr. Snydermoved that the Board find that Dr. Ashouripour’s practice of dentistry does constitute a substantial danger to the public health and safety and to summarily suspend his license. The motion was seconded and passed.
J. Matthew Hogendobler, D.M.D.
Case No. 104635 / The Board received information from Mr. Garrett on a Consent Order agreed to by Dr. Hogendobler to settle this case in lieu of a Formal Hearing. Mr. Garrett reviewed the case and responded to questions.
DECISION: / Dr. Pirok moved that the Consent Order be accepted as presented. The motion was seconded and passed.
Madeline B. Hahn, D.D.S.
Case Numbers: 109733, 110306, 110665, 110958, 111042, 111053, 111719, 111906, 112203, 112601, 112724, 112731, and 113308 / The Board received information from Mr. Garrett on a Consent Order agreed to by Dr. Hahn to settle this case in lieu of a Formal Hearing. Mr. Garrett reviewed the cases and responded to questions.
DECISION: / Ms. Sissom moved that the Consent Order be accepted with an amendment to require completion of seven hours of continuing education in infection control. The motion was seconded and passed.
ADJOURNMENT: / With all business concluded, the Board adjourned at 5:24 p.m.
