Start Time: Warm-ups at 8:00am

Meet begins at 9:05 am

Pool:6 lane, 25 yard flush deck, non-turbulent lane markers and backstroke flags with 28 inch starting blocks. The pool is 11 feet deep at the starting end and 3 ½ feet at turn end. The Competition Course has not been certified in accordance with USASwimming’s Rule 104.2.2C(4).

Timing:Colorado timing system with back-up watches.

Official Rules:Official 2010 Short Course USA-S rules shall prevail for the meet. Swimmers must be registeredUSA-S swimmers with swimmer's age as of October 16, 2010. Non-LSC entrants must bring currentUSA Swimming membership cards to meet.

Warm-up:The procedure for warm-ups will be the first 35 minutes as a circle swim in lanes 1-6. The last 20 minutes will be sprints in lanes 3, 4 and 5 and circle swim in lanes 1,2 and 6.

Swimmers must enter the pool from the starting end feet first using a three pointentry for warm-up. Violators of the Wisconsin Swimming warm-up procedures are subject to disqualifications.

Entry Limit:Swimmers must swim all five events included in the pentathlon to be eligible for high pointtrophies. Swimmers may swim in fewer events if desired. Totalnumber of entries will be limited to 900 swims. Deck seeding will be allowed in empty lanes only.

Entry Deadline:The Entry Chair must receive completed entry form, waiver, and fees no later

than Friday, October 8, 2010. No phone entries will be accepted. This meet

will be run with Hy-Tek software. Teams wishing to submit their entries via disk

or e-mail are encouraged to do so. No seed times will be changed once the entry chair

has seeded the meet.

Fees:Entry fees are $3.50 for individual events, plus$3.00 splash fee,totaling $20.50

per swimmer if swimming all five events in the pentathlon. Entry fees must accompany entry forms. Make checks payable to: Beloit Aquatic Team. Fees are non-refundable.

Disabled Swimmers:If you have swimmers with special needs, please notify the Meet Director no

later than Wednesday, October 13, 2010.

Final Results: One copy of the final results will be sent to each team represented.

Awards:High point trophies for first, second and third place to boy and girl from each age group (8&U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, & senior) for best composite times. Ribbons will be awarded for individual events to first through eighth place.

Admissions:Spectators over 13 years are $3.00. Heat sheets are $3.00.

Concessions:Food and Beverages will be available.

Conduct:Each team is responsible for the conduct of its swimmers.

Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Video Use:Use ofcell phones or any other device that has video recording capabilities is NOT PERMITTED in the locker room or bathroom areas.

Directions:From I-90, South Beloit exit:

Drive west to the third stoplight (at the intersection with Park Avenue), passing

by the Ramada Inn and the antiques mall. Turn right onto Park Avenue, and drive

north through two stop lights, continuing up the hill until you reach Emerson Street,

turn left (west) on Emerson Street, and the fieldhouse/pool will be approximately

three blocks ahead on the right. On the street parking is available, but limited, on

College St. and Emerson St.

From I-43/Hwy 81 exit off I-90:

I-43 ends and becomes Milwaukee Road. Follow into Beloit (due west, past

Wal-Mart and Staples), cross the railroad tracks, and veer right at the “Y” in the

road, which becomes White Ave. Stay on White Ave (going west) to Pleasant St.

(US 51). Turn left (south) on Pleasant St. and the field house parking lot entrance will be on the left side ~1/2 block south.

Coming in Hwy. 81 from west:

Follow Hwy. 81 signs across the Rock River. Make first turn to the right (south)

on Pleasant Street. Go ~1/2 block south and the field house parking lot entrance will be

on the left side.

Note:There is also a parking lot off of Woodward Ave. Go north on Pleasant St. to White

Ave. (Rt. 81). Take a right onto White Ave. Take the first right on Woodward Ave. and

enter the parking lot to the right. The field house will be directly south of the parking lot

and quad area.

Construction of a new building is being completed at the intersection of Pleasant and

Emerson Streets. You can no longer turn onto Emerson St. from Pleasant St.

In the consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I/we hereby, for myself, ourselves, my/our heirs, administrator, and assigns,waive and release any and all claims against USA Swimming, the Wisconsin Association of USA Swimming, Beloit College, the Beloit Aquatic Team, and their staff for the injuries and/or expenses incurred by me/us at the meet, or while on the road to and from the meet. I/we are bonafide amateur athletes currently registered with USA Swimming and in good standing with Wisconsin Swimming, Inc. and eligible to compete in all events I/we have entered. I/We also understand that our club will be responsible financially for any damage done to the facilityby our athletes during the meet. I/We also are aware that it is our responsibility to ensure that every athlete and coachparticipating in the meet are registered USA Swimming members.
