Again this year, staff, in conjunction with a group of community volunteers, are in the process of planning the 3rd Annual General Jog/#TeamCourtney 5K and Fun Run, on Saturday, March 19, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to noon, at Washington Middle School.
This year's 3rd Annual General Jog has two fund raising goals. The first goal is to provide funds for West Aurora Middle School activities. The second goal is to establish a $1000 scholarship fund in the name of Courtney Adams, a middle school teacher and track coach who was seriously injured in a biking accident this past summer. This "#TeamCourtney PE Scholarship" will be awarded to a graduating senior this year at West Aurora High School. All proceeds above the $1000 will go to the middle schools.

Become a Corporate Sponsor for our event! Our sponsor levels start at Community Sponsor for $100, Presenting Sponsor for $250, and Premier Sponsor for $500. We will offer promotion of your business and logo placement throughout our event and on our race t-shirt. Community sponsors will be listed on race day shirt. Please see commitment form letter for additional details.
Donate Pre and Post Race Snacks
We are looking for pre/post race snacks and treats. If you or your company are able to donate bottles of water, packaged sliced apples, bananas or bagels, we would greatly appreciate your donation.
Join us on race day! $30 for the 5K race starts at 9:00a.m. The course starts at Washington Middle School and continues throughout the far west neighborhood. Also, there is a 1 Mile Fun Run around the school for just $15 per runner.
West Aurora School District 129, is a non-profit, 501(c)3, tax exempt organization. Your donation is tax deductible as provided by law.
