Avantus is proud to have acted as advisor to Smart Assistans AB in its sale to Förenade Care AB

Smart Assistans, founded 2011, offers disabled care services to people with functional disabilities, in compliance with the Swedish Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments. The company’s services include assistance in practical tasks, as well as the promotion of patient well-being through joint social activities in various forms. Smart Assistance operates primarily in the Stockholm region and on Gotland, with some 30 customers from about 12 municipalities per the end of 2016.

Förenade care, with around 2,500 employees, offers healthcare, social care and medical careservices, in addition to operatingcare homes in Sweden. The company is part of Danish Forenade Group, a leading privately owned service company in the Nordic region, with approximately 8,000 employees. Its core operations are within two business areas: Facility Services and Health care.

Through the acquisition of Smart Assistans, Förenade Care continues with its expansion in Sweden, gaining a stronger presence and brand recognitionwithin disabled care in the Stockholm region and on Gotland.
