Job Responsibilities:

Leadership: Provide vision and leadership in the development and execution of an employer outreach and relationship management strategy. Participate actively in various local, state, regional, and national organizations including but not limited to Chambers of Commerce, Societies of Human Resource Management, state agencies such as Workforce Development and Economic Development, etc to develop relationships in order to provide career opportunities for LSU students and alumni. Travel regionally to build and steward relationships on behalf of the Center.

Provide supervision and oversight of the Employment Services team including direct supervision of Assistant Director - Employment Services and Manager of Experiential Education. Oversee the management of the employer core database. Serve as a senior administrator in the leadership of LSU Olinde Career Center providing assistance in the strategic planning, goal setting and staff development of the entire team. Assist with the STAR Employer program. Act on behalf of the Director in the Director's absence or as requested.

Employer Outreach/Relations: Strategically identify and build relationships with state, regional, national, and international employers for recruitment of LSU students and alumni. Work with employers to develop marketing strategies for enhancement of employer presence on campus; evaluate appropriateness of employer expectations; assist with diversity recruitment; promote adherence to office procedures and deadlines, interviewing protocols, offer/accept lead times, and ethical/professional conduct.

Collaborate with designated college liaisons and faculty/staff to increase employment opportunities for students, including but not limited to under-served populations and graduate students. Facilitate relationships between employers and the University community, including students, faculty, staff, Alumni Association, Foundation, etc. Work with the Communications Manager to develop employer marketing material, including Web site content; compose content and coordinate timing of communications to employers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree; 5 years’ experience specifically with supervisory experience in a corporate or university environment. Must possess a dynamic, professional demeanor with exceptional organization, communication skills, ability to oversee multiple tasks with attention to detail, a self-motivated/enthusiastic work style.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, Business; 5 years’ experience, specifically employer relations experience in a higher education or business environment. Management and leadership of a team to accomplish yearly goals.
