4. Declaration:

The purpose of this application is to revise the existing minimum safe manning certificate carried on board to ensure the manning scale meet the requirements of the STCW 2010 amendments. I certify that, to the best of my knowledge, the particulars given in this application remain valid, and that the working arrangements allow for sufficient rest periods to avoid fatigue, and the machinery and equipment fitted on board are and will be maintained in proper working order. The proposed revise minimum safe manning scalewill ensure safe operation of the vessel in respect of security, protection of the marine environment, dealing with emergency situations, taking into account the requirements regarding hours of rest of watchkeeping seafarers, as prescribed by the STCW Convention 1978, as amended, as well as the requirements of IMO Assembly Resolution A.1047(27).
