Application Instructions: This is a three-part and three-page Application. Please respond to the questions below to the best of your ability. If there is any additional information you wish to share, please include it in the “comments” section at the end of the Application. To submit your Application, please save your file as a Word document and email it to . The Writer’s Workshop Application requires that the Application and Processing Fee ($25) be received by OSEA within seven days of your application submission. PART IV.LogisticS

  1. Lodging. All accommodations are with shared bathroom.

  13. The summer heat essentially prohibits the use of western style beds. All participants will use the traditional Maya hammocks to sleep in, in lieu of beds. The Maya hammock is surprisingly comfortable – some even say more than a bed. Do you accept these sleeping arrangements? .
  14. You will need to have your own medical and health insurance. If you already have insurance, have you checked to verify whether it covers you during the duration of the workshop? .
  15. How will you want to spend your weekends?
  16. I will want to travel on short excursions EVERY available weekend to one or more of archaeological ruins, beaches, or Maya communities. .
  17. I will want to travel to see the sights of Yucatán peninsula on only one or two weekends. The other weekends I will want to spend in Mérida. .
  18. I do not plan to make any weekend trips. .
