Unpaid Trial Shift

We operate a system of offering potential staff a trial shift on the shop floor for a minimum of 4 hrs. This is for you to see how we work and for us to see how you work. We will expect you to wear clean, dark coloured trousers, skirt or knee-length smart tailored shorts and clean shoes with covered toes (suitable for a catering work environment). No skirts or shorts should be worn if you work in the kitchen as the rule is no bare legs, unless you wear leggings or thick tights. For health and safety reasons, any jewellery that may come off or catch in machinery should not be worn. Piercings should be kept to a minimum for work wear. During the trial shift, you may leave at any time if you wish. If, after completion of the trial shift, we do not employ you, you will not be paid for the trial shift. If we do employ you, and you complete the two-week probation period, you will be paid for your trial shift. By signing the declaration you are agreeing to these conditions.
