Announcement for the recruitment of Executive Director at The National Railway Company "CFR" S.A.

The National Railway Company „C.F.R.” – S.A. (CFR) was incorporated through Government Order 581 /1998; the state is its majority shareholder. CFR conducts activities of public national interest in order to provide public railway transport and satisfy national defense needs; its main line of business is:

a) managing the railway infrastructure and making it available to railway transport operators as provided by the law;

b) developing and modernizing the Romanian railway infrastructure in line with European standards in order to ensure compatibility and interoperability with the European railway transport system;

c) organizing, planning, coordinating and controlling railway infrastructure management, exploitation, maintenance and repair works;

d) conducting associated industrial activities and providing associated services necessary for railway infrastructure operation;

e) managing railway-related assets.

According to GEO 109/2011, The National Railway Company "CFR" S.A. selected the association S.C. Transearch International S.R.L. / S.C. Quest Advisors S.R.L. to assist in the selection of the Executive Director.

Mandatory recruitment and selection criteria

1.Technical, economic or legal bachelor degree;

2.Minimum 10 years relevant professional experience;

3.Experience in elaborating and implementing development strategies, optimization and restructuring of companies / divisions;

4.Minimum 2 years experience in the top management of a company with turnover greater than EUR 100 million;

5.Relevant experience in management consulting or in the management of public or private companies;

6.Knowledge of Romanian language.

Criteria that is an advantage

1 Knowledge of corporate governance (law);

2Specialization in rail technical field or management;

3Experience in management positions in the railway sector;

4Experience in logistics (transport organizer, transport chains, intermodal transport, etc.);

5Experience in finance, administrative management and investment;

6Evaluation and decision making capacity during emergency situations (events, accidents, force majeure, strike);

7The ability to adapt and to have positive results in the context of internal / external changes;

8Experience in management positions in companies with more than 5000 employees;

9 Knowledge of at least one internationally used language;

10Experience in interacting with EU Bodies;

11 Determination.

4.At least one letter of recommendation;

5.Form 1 (statement regarding the accuracy of the information included in the application, lack of conflict of interest and lack of criminal record);

6.Copies of studycertificates and documents;

7.Copy of the identity document.
