Timeline

ADEPT for Speech-Language Therapist Orientation
August 3, 2016 /
  • Induction/New Speech Therapist Orientation

TBD – based on need /
  • Orientation (Induction, Annual, Continuing, New to the District and all other Speech-Language Therapists)

October 4, 2016 /
  • Educators hired on or after October 4, 2016 will be placed on Letters of Agreement and will not be formally evaluated during the 2016 – 2017 school term.

Preliminary Notifications
September 6, 2016 /
  • Educators should be informed of his/her evaluation team members by September 6, 2016.

Initial/Preliminary Evaluation(September 26 – December 8, 2016)

Induction Contract Educator submits classroom schedule to Induction & Mentoring Coordinator electronically
August 29-
December 8, 2016 / Walk-Through Observations
  • Assistance Team Chair will complete walk through observations
  • Assistance Team Chair will provide oral and written feedback on observation within five (5) days of receiving reflection.

August 29-
December 8, 2016 / Integral Observations
  • Mentor will complete integral observation
  • Induction Contract Educator will submit responses to Reflection on Speech Language Therapy Session to Mentor within seven (7) days of each observation
  • Mentor will conduct oral and written feedback conference on observation and reflection within five (5) days of receiving reflection.

September 2016 / Induction Meeting (Expectations led by Lead Mentor)
September 28, 2016 / PD 1Long-Range Plan (Speech-Language Therapists)
  • Speech-Language Therapist submits Long-Range Plan to the team chair

October 2016 / Induction Meeting (Conferences led by Lead Mentor)
October 3-31, 2016 / Veteran Educator Observations
  • Induction Contract Educator will conduct three observations of approved veteran educator and complete observation form for each observation.

November 10, 2016 / PD 2 Speech-Language Records and Documentation
  • Evaluators are required to review a minimum of five records, except in special circumstances

On or before
November 10, 2016 / PD 3 and 4Conduct IEP meetings; Participate in Interviews
  • Evaluation team members attend an IEP meeting; conduct a follow-up interview with the Speech-Language Therapist; complete the documentation

November 10, 2016 / PD 10Professional Performance Description
  • Building Administrator and/or other designee submits Professional Performance Description to the team chair

November 10, 2016 / PD 10Professional Self-Report
  • Teacher submits Professional Self-Report to the team chair

November 16, 2016 / Induction Meeting (Panel Discussion)
December 2016 / Induction Meeting (Mentor & Induction Collaborative Meeting)
December 6, 2016 / Evaluation Summary/Consensus Meeting
  • Teams must hold consensus meetings on or before December 6th

December 7, 2016 / Evaluation Summary/Preliminary Conference
  • Teams must hold preliminary evaluation conferences on or before December 7th

December 8, 2016 / All preliminary information (including improvement plan documentation) must be delivered to Human Resources by 5:00 P.M.
PD 7 –Speech-Language Therapist reflections must be submitted to the team chair within seven (7) calendar days following each evaluation. (PD 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 Observations)
Final Evaluation Period (December 9, 2016 – March 9, 2017)
December 12, 2016 January 20, 2017 / Mentor Integral Observation
  • Mentor will complete an integral observation.
  • Induction Contract Educator will submit Reflection on Speech Language Therapy Sessionto mentor within seven (7) days of each observation
  • Mentor will provide oral and written feedback regarding observation and reflection to induction contract educator to prepare for assistance team chair and/or school administrator final integral observation(s) within five (5) days of receiving reflection.

January9, 2017 / PD1Long-Range Plan (Speech-Language Therapist)
  • Speech-Language Therapist submits Long-Range Plan to the team chair (if required)

January 23, 2017-March 3, 2017 / Assistance Team/Administrator Integral Observations
  • Assistance Team Chair will complete integral observations
  • Induction Contract Educator will submit Reflection on Speech Language Therapy Sessionto mentor within seven (7) days of each observation
Assistance Team Chair does not hold feedback conferences for the integral observation.
February 2017 / Induction Meeting (Mentor & Induction Collaborative Meeting)
No later than February 14, 2017 with two weeks’ notice / PD 2 Speech-Language Records and Documentation
  • Evaluators are required to review a minimum of five records, except in special circumstances (if required)
