ACTORS THEATRE OF LOUISVILLE PRESENTS FIFTH THIRD BANK’S DRACULA

SEPTEMBER 14-OCTOBER 31, 2012

Louisville, KY- Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein are pleased to present Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula, playing in the Bingham Theatre at Actors Theatre of Louisville, September 14-October 31, 2012.

With many familiar faces returning to the Bingham Theatre stage, this year’s production promises to be one audiences will be dying to sink their teeth into. William McNulty will, once again, direct his own adaptation of Bram Stoker’s famed novel as well as reprising his illustrious role as Van Helsing.

Alongside McNulty, will be an entire smorgasbord of returning talent. Marc Bovino, former acting apprentice and huge crowd pleaser, will be returning as Reinfield for the fifth time, after a year off from the show. Another crowd favorite, Randolph Curtis Rand, who bears his teeth on the posters seen around town, striking terror into the heart of Louisville, will be returning as Count Dracula.

The cast will also include:Alex Thompson, another acting apprentice alumni (2004-2005) who will be playing Mr. Briggs,Chris Kellywho will play Dr. Seward for the second year in a row, and Marianna McClellan who understudied the role of Lucy as an apprentice last year will now take center stage as the female lead.

McNulty, who hasdirectedDraculaat Actors Theatre since 1996, doesn’t let the length of time he has been involved with the showaffecthis passion of keeping audiences on the edge of their seats. Speaking on this, McNulty said, “Although the show hasn't changed that much technically over the past five years, people who have come back year after year usually remark on how different it is each time they see it. Even those of us who've been in it before rehearse and explore it as if it were brand new.”

Dracula is made possible in part by support from Fifth Third Bank. Additionally, Actors Theatre’s educational outreach for Dracula is made possible by the Yum! Brands Foundation’s sponsorship of the Student Matinee Series.
