BI-ANNUAL REPORT-2012-13

Dear Parent,

It gives me immense pleasure to present the Bi-Annual Report of the school for the academic year 2012-13

This academic session started on 2nd April-2012. After summer vacation school re-opened on 11th June-2012.

As per Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), we conducted two formative assessments (FA) and one summative assessment (SA) during First Term. We started the second term on 1st Oct-2012.

CBSE Examination Results:

Class – XII – out of 3 children 2 passed and one compartment. Both of them got qualified in EAMCET

TopperKum. A.Srinitya (84.4%). She has joined for B.Tech inSatyabhamaUniversity , Chennai.

Sports Achievements:

In addition to regular physical education periods during school hours, we have evening games from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on all week days.

Our children (Boys & Girls) participated in the CBSE cluster VII Volley Ball tournament held at Davanagere, Karnataka.

30children will be participating in the CBSE Cluster VII Athletic Meet,to be held at Tirupati from 22/10/12 to 25/10/12.

23 students participated in the District level Shuttle Badminton Tournament held at Guntakal and 11 of them have been selected for the State level tournament. We conducted our Annual Athletic Meet on 31stAug-2012.

Celebrations:

We celebrated Independence Day with great joy and enthusiasm. Mr. A.K.Pillai (Unit Head) was the Chief Guest. He released our school magazine “Arunodaya 2011-12”. The first copy was received by Mrs Shanti Pillai – President (Vasundhara Ladies Club. Teachers’ Day was also celebrated with great joy and spirit. Children organized various programmes to make the celebration fruitful. Mrs & Mr. A.K. Pillai hosted a get-together at their residence for staff members and their families along with all Functional Heads. Management honoured the teaching community by presenting gifts to them.

Teachers’ Orientation Programme:

Our two teachers Mrs. Tessy John and Mr.T.V.R.K.M.Gupta participated in the workshop for Hindi teachers, organized by Aditya Birla Group at Mathura and also Mrs. N.Anitha & Mrs. S.Padmapriya attended workshop for English teachers at the same place.

Co-Curricular Activities:

We conduct various co-curricular activities on Saturdays. Many children are participating in theses activities. We conducted the following Co-curricular activities during the 1st Term.

 Science Seminars

“SAVE WATER” Campaign organized on 20-04-2012. Children & Teachers took part in rally through all the areas of township

and gave awareness about the proper utilization of water.

National Cadet Corps (NCC - 9 Andhra Girls Battalion)

All the 25 cadets of our unit attended a 10 day NCC camp held at Anantapur and three have been selected for Pre RDC Camp. They are

  3. Kum. B.Lavanya

Second batch of 25 girls started in this academic year.

NCC (Girls) Cadets Presented “Road Safety Programme”. They took initiative to control Traffic in various areas of APCW on 20/04/2012.

Parents – Teachers Meetings:

We conducted Parents Teachers meetings for all classes during I term. More than 75% parents attended in various meetings. Parents can meet the subject teachers on every Friday. (3:30 to 4:30pm)

School Managing Committee Meeting:

School Managing Committee (SMC) has been re constituted and its next meeting will be held in Nov-2012.

Digital Class Rooms:

In addition to the existing two ICT class rooms,we are converting another 12 classrooms to digital in association with NIIT.
