Manor High School Credit Recovery Program

Your student has been enrolled in the MHS Credit Recovery Program and has been given the opportunity to regain credit for courses he/she has not passed.

Credit for courses will be awarded based upon completion of lessons, final grade, and attendance. You will receive a grade for each lesson in your course. The average of all lessons will determine your final course grade.

Upon completion of a course, a comprehensive report of the student’s performance will be generated. This report includes a complete listing of all the lessons, the grade earned for each lesson, and the overall grade for the course. The supervising instructor generates the grade report, signs and dates it, awards credit, and forwards it to the appropriate counselor. If your student is assigned to a credit recovery class, attendance is mandatory even after completion and posting of credit unless their schedule is changed, and they are no longer on the attendance roster for that class period.

Credit Recovery Student and Parent Computer Use Agreement

Student Agreement:

I have been given a copy of the Credit Recovery Program Information, the Credit Recovery Classroom Information, and the Acceptable Computer/Network Use Policy for Manor ISD. I understand and will abide by the guidelines, policies, and rules set forth by the instructor, as well as Manor High School and the Manor ISD Board of Trustees. Any violation of these rules will result in appropriate disciplinary action as outlined in the Manor ISD and Manor High School Student Handbooks and the Manor ISD Code of Conduct.

Furthermore, I agree to have my parent / guardian review all Credit Recovery handouts and the Acceptable Computer/Network Use Policy for Manor ISD and to have my parent / guardian sign in the appropriate places. I further understand and agree that I will not be allowed on the computer to begin my credit recovery process until all necessary paperwork has been signed and returned.

I understand the outline of the class and that my child’s success will be based on the effort he or she puts into the completion of his or her courses. In addition, I agree with my child’s placement into the Credit Recovery Program and with the courses my child will have the opportunity to recover. I understand that my son / daughter has been made aware of and must abide by the guidelines set forth by the instructor, as well as Manor High School and the Manor ISD Board of Trustees. Any violation of these policies by my son / daughter will result in appropriate disciplinary action. I also grant permission for my son / daughter to access the Internet as needed for course research. I understand that my son / daughter will not be allowed on the computer to begin their credit recovery process until all necessary paperwork has been signed and returned.
