Pennants have been used in Scouting in New Zealand for well over 50 years to commemorate events, for swapping, as awards (for personal,Contingents, Groupsand Sections), and to advertise District, campsites etc.

I was prompted into making a start on a catalogue by Lloyd Esler in March 2000 and the following is a list of the Jamboree, Regatta, and Moots that I know of. If anyone knows of, or has of any others I would love to get a copy (A clear photocopy would be really appreciated). The genuine article would be even better!!

I now have well over 400 NZ pennants in my collection and would guess by the percentage of pennants that I don’t have in my collection when I come across a new group of pennants, that there are about 7 to 800 that have been issued in NZ
