Prepare for your Growth Group discussion by taking some time to go through the following Growth Group Questions (G2Qs) and be ready to share your thoughts and answers with your group. Have a great time growing in the Word, growing in relationships, and growing in serving others!

Getting to know You

  • Take a look at this year’s GO Trips on the back page. How might God want you to support one?
  • What is the worst advice you see or hear being given in your world?

DIGGING DEEPER

  1. Looking back at your notes for the sermon, was there something that particularly caught your attention, encouraged or challenged you?
  1. According to 2 Kings 23:36-24:4, what was going on in Judah during Habakkuk’s time (when Jehoiakim was reigning)?
  1. Reread Habakkuk 1:2-4 and answer the following two questions.

Do you think Habakkuk's complaints came from a place of doubt or faith or somewhere else?

If you were to go to God and tell Him, “I don’t like the way you’re running things.” What subject would you talk with Him about? Is it a personal matter or a large scale issue?

  1. Have you ever questioned God, asking Him “why?” What was it about?

Did it come from a place of faith or doubt or somewhere else?

Did it lead you down a path of development or rebellion?

What do you think of that question now?

  1. React to and discuss this quote: "God, your ways are hard to understand but your character is clear. Therefore, I will trust your character."
  1. Do you have some verses committed to memory that remind you of God's goodness and faithfulness?

Six day-trips will serve at Open Door Ministry’s new church plant: Outreach Events on March 31, May 25, July 20 and August 4. Work Teams on March 29 and July 9.

Cheyenne, Wyoming

Serve lunch to the airmen of F.E. Warren Air Force Base on May 2.

Chinle, Arizona

Help reach the Navajo Nation with the Gospel through a VBS and Basketball Tournament or work on maintenance projects on the Charley property - June 3-8.

Poland High School Trip

Help host an English camp in Poland with Josiah Venture - July 16-31.

Sierra Leone

Establish two global Days for Girls sites, assist with a holiday club, and train teachers at the Montessori School - June 10-24.

Tanzania

In March, the team will build a church building. In August, the team will document (video) the use of the Kinyamwezi Bible audio devices, the drilling of a village well and the dedication of the church building.
