To Whom It May Concern,

I am thrilled to be writing this letter as a recommendation for Autumn Kleinert. I have known Autumn for about three years, and as a former candidate in the Chico State Credential Program, I know that she will complete this program with excellence. There simply aren’t a lot of people out there with the kind of heart and skills that she has.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Autumn as part of the KidZone Ministry at Chico Community Church. As the leader of this ministry, I have been blessed by Autumn’s dedication to the families of our church. Autumn is consistently on time and prepared for her role as a teacher in the preschool class. She is enthusiastic and warm towards both the children and their families, which is of the utmost importance to our ministry. The kids love having Autumn in their class! Her playful nature and fun personality ensure that the youngsters will have a great time. Autumn’s duties as part of KidZone involve preparing the room for the kids, leading curriculum, facilitating art projects, supervising free play time, and fostering communicating with parents. She does all of these duties with excellence.

Two years ago, I was looking for a babysitter to care for my own children weekly. My kids were 18 months and three years old at the time. My husband and I decided to ask one of the KidZone Ministry members to be our at home sitter. We are fortunate to work with around 30 skilled and caring ministry members, but Autumn was the one we wanted! The first day Autumn watched the kids, she showed up early (as always) and with a large cardboard box. Any mother of young kids knows that one of the best toys in the world is a large cardboard box. I was impressed that Autumn had taken the initiative to bring a creative and fun activity to engage the kids in! As Autumn prepared to leave for a semester to study abroad in Spain to learn a second language we were all saddened about not having her around. We knew her experience was to benefit her future students and parents as well. Before she left she compiled a photo album for our family of various memories she and the kids had made together. From cardboard boxes, to photo albums, Autumn always went the extra mile to show us that she cared! To this day, Autumn is the only non-family member I have ever left my children with.

Thank you for taking the time to hear my thoughts about Autumn. I really do offer her my highest recommendation. As a mom, a ministry leader, and a former classroom teacher, I know that women such as her are rare gems. It’s a blessing to find one. I hope that Autumn will be a blessing to your program as she has been to my family and to my ministry. Please call me if you have any questions. (530) 872-8399.

Sincerely,

Carly Olsen
