AHOUSE RESOLUTION
TO CONGRATULATE GLINDER DELORES GOINESOF RICHLAND COUNTYON THE OCCASION OF HERSEVENTIETH BIRTHDAY AND TO WISH HER A JOYOUS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AND MUCH HAPPINESS IN THE YEARS AHEAD.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are delighted to learn that Glinder Delores Goines of Richland Countywill celebrate herseventieth birthday on July 23, 2014; and
Whereas, born the daughter of David W. and Sarah Gadsen Goines, South Carolina native Glinder Delores Goines came into this world on July 23, 1944, the second of eight children; and
Whereas, after the untimely passing of her parents, Ms. Goines kept her promise to her mother and took on the role of sole provider to her younger siblings; and
Whereas, she was educated in the public schools of South Carolinaand graduated from C.A. Johnson High School in 1962. After nearly thirty years of service, she retired from the South Carolina Mental Health Department, where she worked diligently as a custodian; and
Whereas, the mother of two daughters, Tyra and Tanya Goines, Ms. Goines is also the proud grandmother of four, Sade, Charese, Dajayna, and Demetrius, as well as the delighted greatgrandmother of two, Jeremiah and Nicholas; and
Whereas, Glinder Delores Goines has always been a model citizen and is known as a pillar of the College Place, Fairwold Acres, and Harlem Heights communities; and
Whereas, as a devout Christian, she has been an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in College Placefor the past seventy years; and
Whereas, Ms. Goines is loved, trusted, and respected by all who know her and bears the welldeserved title of Goines family matriarch; and
Whereas, the House of Representatives is proud to honor this truly lovely lady at the celebration of herseventieth birthday, and the members join with her family and friends in congratulating her on reaching this important life milestone. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Glinder Delores Goines of Richland County on the occasion of herseventieth birthday and wish her a joyous birthday celebration and much happiness in the years ahead.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Glinder Delores Goines.
