Course: Redondo Denton is a 1.1 mile crit course that is similar to the GS Tenzing Crit held over Memorial weekend. It will be held at the Denton ISD Stadium (C.H. Collins Athletic Complex) and TechnologyCenter, which is next to the DentonWaterWorksPark. Perfect pavement, wide roads, a bit of twisty and a couple long straights. It will be run counter-clockwise as it was in 2007.

*State Champion Jerseyregular Texas Cup category:

A State Championship Jersey will be awarded in each standard Texas Cup age-based category: Jr 10-14, Jr Open, 35+, 45+, 55+, 65+.

**State Champion Jersey other categories:

A State Championship Jersey will be awarded in each of these categories if there are at least 8 pre-registered riders in that category. For example, if there are 8 women 30+ pre-registered racers, then there will be a Women’s 30+ Jersey awarded. If there are 8 or more 10-12 racers, there will be a separate State Championship Jersey for that age group. If there aren’t enough pre-registered riders to qualify for a jersey, the winner of the category will be able to purchase the jersey.

State Championship Medals:

State Championship Medals, 1st-3rd, will be awarded to each category on the flyerwith the exception of Cat 5/35+ 4 and 3/4. This is: boys and girls Jr 10-12, Jr 13-14, Jr 15-16, and Jr 17-18, MenU23, 23-34, 35+, 45+, 55+, and 65+, and Women U30, 30+, 40+.

***Cash prize breakdown:

A minimum of 10pre-registered riders for there to be a payout in a category. All categories racing at the same time are racing for one payout.

1st $35, 2nd $25, 3rd $20, 4th $17, 5th $15, 6th $12, 7th $10, 8th $7, 9th $6, 10th $5

****Cash prize breakdown 35+ 4/5, and 3/4:

Minimum of 10 racers pre-registered for payout. If there are 20 pre-registered racers, we’ll have the same $152 payout as above.

Otherwise: 35+ 4,5 and 3/4: 1st $25, 2nd $20, 3rd$15, 4th $10, 5th $7, 6th $6, 7th $5

Directions:

From Dallas: Take I-35E north to Denton. Take exit #463/McKinney. Turn right on S Loop 288. Approximately 6 miles, turn right on E. Sherman/ FM 428. You’ll see the stadium and complex.

From Ft Worth: Take I-35W north to Denton and past where I-35E and I-35W meet for about 1.5 mi. Take exit #470/ Loop 288 and turn right. Follow Loop 288 for approximately 3.5 miles to E. Sherman Dr/ FM 428 and turn left. You will see the stadium and complex on your left.

-Registration Race Day: Opens 1 hour before the first race and closes 20 minutes prior to each event.

-$10 “late fee” to register on day of race. Please pre-register. Thank you.

-$10 one day license available for Category 5 Men and Category 4 Women

-All USCF rules are in effect. Racers must wear a Z90.4 or Snell approved helmet anytime they are on a bicycle.

-Junior Rollout to be conducted 10 minutes prior to start.

-Riders deemed out of contention by the Chief Referee may be pulled.

-Second race is $10. Third race is $5.

-Free lap rule in effect. Wheels in/ Wheels out.
