  1. What should my child wear? Children registered in the Whack-a-puck program are required to wear full hockey gear.

Regulation hockey helmet with full mask, Shoulder pads, Elbow pads, Hockey gloves, Hockey pants, Shin pads, Hockey skates, Athletic supporter, Hockey stick, Mouth piece (optional), Hockey socks & hockey shirt will be supplied by Saugus/Lynnfield Youth Hockey

  1. Can parents skate with their child?There are a very limited number of coaching positions available for the upcoming season. The program welcomes new coaching applicants with prior hockey experience to volunteer as a Whack-a-puck coach. All applicants will undergo a C.O.R.I background check.

Waiver and Release of Liability

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any of the Saugus/Lynnfield Youth Hockey Learn to Skate Programs, related events and activities, under the signed acknowledge, appreciate and agree1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment and discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist and 2. I knowingly and freely assume ALL such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releases or others, and assume full responsibility for my minor child’s participation and, 3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If however, I observe any unusual significant hazards during my presence of my child’s participation, I will remove my child from participation and bring attention to the nearest official and, 4. I as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to release and hold harmless the Saugus/Lynnfield Youth Hockey Officers, officials and or employees, other participants and the lessors – of premises used to conduct the event (“releases”) with respect to ANY AND ALL injury, disability, death or loss or damage to person or property. Whether arising from the negligence of the releases or otherwise, 5. For myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin I release and agree to indemnify the releases from any and all liabilities incident to my minor as provided above, even if arising from their negligence.
