A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE TOWN OF OLANTA UPON THE DEDICATION JUNE 10, 2003, OF THE NEW TOWN PARK AND RECREATIONAL FACILITY.

Whereas, the Town of Olanta is to be commended on bringing new recreational opportunities to the children, families, and residents of Olanta; and

Whereas, on June 10, 2003, the Town of Olanta will celebrate the dedication of its new park and recreational facilities, which is the result of the collaborative efforts, commitment, and dedication of many individuals and organizations locally and statewide; and

Whereas, the new facility will bring great pleasure and many hours of enjoyment to the young and old alike and to families and individuals, with a new and improved running and walking track and little league baseball fields and concession facilities; and

Whereas, the General Assembly is pleased to recognize the Town of Olanta’s commitment to its residents, the dedication and efforts of all who worked so diligently to bring this project to fruition;

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly send their congratulations and best wishes for many hours of family fun, individual satisfaction as the residents of the Town of Olanta enjoy their new park and recreational facilities. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate the Town of Olanta upon the dedication of the town’s new park and recreational facility June 10, 2003.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the town leaders of Olanta.
