I, the parent or legal guardian of the above named 4-H member, grant permission for him/her to participate in the Tama County Youth Guns 4-H Smallbore Silhouette Invitational and certify that I have signed an Iowa Parental Permission/Waiver of Liability for the 4-H Shooting Sports and it is on file with our local Extension Office.

Entries include:

1. This application for the 4-H member.

2. Payment – Cost is $25 per person and an addition fee of $15 per team (the team consists of one junior, one intermediate, one senior). Team registrations can be sent in with the regular registration or the team registration can be paid the day of the match. Checks payable to Tama County Young Guns. No refunds unless the event is cancelled.

3. A signed copy of the 4-H Shooting Sports Iowa Parental Permission/Waiver of Liability

4. 4-H Medical Release Form (print off of 4honline or obtain from your local Extension Office)

Registration: 8:30-9:15 a.m.

Range Briefing (required) 9:15-9:45 a.m.

Event begins at 10:00 a.m.

LOCATION:PCSA Range near Montezuma, Iowa

1293 510th Ave., Montezuma, IA 50171

Outdoor Rifle Range: Drive 2 miles South of Montezuma on Hwy. 63 to County Road 510th St. (large gray silo on left). Turn left onto 510th (gravel) for ¾ mile. Range is immediately on the left. This is a private range with locked gate for PCSA members only and their guests and competition participants that day.

RULES

NRA Silhouette Rule book rules with the following exceptions:

  • Any Rifle shooting 22 short, long or long rifle ammunition
  • Any sight, including scopes (recommended)
  • Juniors may shoot from the prone position
  • Intermediates may shoot from kneeling or sitting at full distance
  • Seniors will shoot standing only at full distance per the NRA rules

There will be a team event and teams must consist of one junior, one intermediate and one senior shooter. A shooter may only be on one team.

Each shooter must provide their own firearm, ammunition, CBI, eye & ear protection. Ear protection is recommended for anyone attending.
