Management: Founded and manage a company that negotiates, purchases, operates, and sells oil and gas producing properties in Texas and New York. During 2004-2005, purchased leases and participated in drilling gas wells. Purchased and continue to own 2,500+ acres of leases in the Marcellus and Utica shale areas in western New York. Purchased, operated, and sold 27 oil wells in Wichita County, Texas.

FAIRFIELD ENERGY, INC., Weatherford, Texas 7/93 – Present

President

Management: In 1993, purchased from Santa Fe Energy Resources a package of non-operated working interests that covered 200 wells in 6 states (California, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas). Participated in drilling 60 non-operated oil and gas wells during the past 18 years.
Financial Operations: From 1995 – 1999, managed a $5 million credit line with Compass Bank in Houston and successfully made payments in a timely manner. Also, ensured a third-party engineering firm provided detailed, quarterly production and financial reports to the bank.
Current Status: This venture currently has interests in 20+ producing wells in Oklahoma and Texas.

XL OPERATING COMPANY, INC., Weatherford, Texas 2/95 – 7/05

President

Management: Founded and managed a company that purchased and operated 57 oil wells in the Wilmington Field in Los Angeles County, California. Sold these producing wells in 1998. In 1995, purchased and operated 11 oil wells in Alameda County, California. Sold these wells in 2005. Successfully complied with designated regulations of state and local governmental agencies. Opened company originally in Houston and moved to Weatherford in 2000.
Financial Operations: Managed the processing of monthly and quarterly checks to 2,500 royalty owners. Ensured database of royalty owners was maintained and updated continuously to ensure timely and accurate delivery of checks to recipients.
Training/Staff Development: Hired and managed 10 employees, including an Engineer, Geologist, CPA, Lease Analyst, three Pumpers, and two Administrative Assistants.

LIFE ROYALTIES, INC., Fort Worth, Texas 4/89 – 1/93

Operations Management: Planned and managed daily operations for a company that purchased royalty interests in primarily large west Texas waterflood oil units operated by major oil companies. Designed and originated a software system to generate specific offers to individual royalty owners. Successfully purchased$4 million of producing royalties in the target oil fields. Sold my company stock in 1993.
