nubia SD Upgrade Guide

1  STEP 1： Copy "SD card upgrade package" to the root directory of mobile storage devices

a．  From ZTEUSA official website to download the required upgrade version of "SD card upgrade package" to the local computer.

b．  With a USB cable to the phone and the computer, open the “USB mass storage”。 As shown below：

c．  The SD card will be downloaded upgrade package "update.zip" (Note: Please don’t change this file name), copied to the phone storage under the root directory (this directory allows only one upgrade package file is valid, if there are multiple upgrade package file, please delete unwanted upgrade package file). As shown below:

d．  After the copy is complete, close the "USB mass storage", unplug the USB cable, disconnect the USB cable. (If you do not turn off "USB mass storage", will not be able to carry out normal upgrade)

2  STEP 2：SOFTWARE UPGRADE

Before upgrading to ensure that:

1. Make sure the battery percentage is over 30% during upgrading.
2. During the upgrade, keep the phone flat, and do not touch the screen.

a．  Turn into the following menu：System SettingsàAbout phone­àSystem updatesàUpdate by disk。As shown below：

b．  Turn to “Storage card updates”，click “Start update”。（This step in the different software versions may have subtle difference, follow a similar prompt steps below) as shown：

c．  Now phone will shut down, then auto restart. As shown:

d．  After rebooting, the phone automatically upgraded into the interface. (In this upgrade process, please keep the phone flat, and do not touch screen).AS shown:

e．  When upgrade done, phone will restart automatic. As shown:

Step 3 : check the software version

1) click the Settings icon on the phone as below

2) click the About phone as below

3) Verify the software version, and the latest version is NX405H_Z35_EN_ESZNIAHD11G017

STEP 4 : RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS (Optional)

1)  Shut down the device, and hold the “power” and “volume+” button to get into recovery mode.

2)  Then click “volume-“ to change the highlight to “wipe data/factory reset”, then click “power” to get in the next page shown as below. Then change the highlight to “Yes—delete all user data” , click “power” to begin. It will take several seconds to complete.

3)  When it complete, change highlight to “reboot system now”, then click “power” to reboot.
