SENSATIONAL BLIND BANK BURGLARY CASE WORKED OUT

With the arrest of three accused namely Sadiq (aged 18 years ) s/o Noor Islaam , Zahid (aged 18 years ) s/o Abdul Razik and Kamre Aalam (aged 22 years ) s/o Mohd. Abul Hasan and apprehension of a juvenile, officials of North District have solved a sensational blind bank burglary case and recovered stolen locker keys, grill cutter instrument at the instance of accused persons.

INCIDENT & TEAM

On 29/09/12, an information was received at PP Inderlok regarding burglary in the bank. Police officials of PS Sarai Rohilla reached the spot and found that attempt has been made to enter the bank through ventilation grill by cutting the same and to ransack the bank. Culprits also broke down the ATM to take out the money from it but they did not succeed. Sh. Raj Kumar, Branch Manager reported that culprits were not able to take cash or any valuable from bank. Crime team was called to the spot and observations were recorded. A case vide FIR No. 338/12 u/s 380/457/511 IPC was registered and investigation taken up. It was a blind case and the culprits had operated in a very intelligent and professional manner leaving no clue. So a dedicated team comprising of Insp. J.S.Mishra, SI Ram Phal, HC Krishan, HC Jitender and Ct. Jitender under the supervision of Sh. Surender Sharma, ACP / Sarai Rohilla was constituted to develop information and nab the culprit.

INVESTIGATION

During the investigation, information was developed by the team. An information was received regarding involvement of Zahid in the present case and Zahid s/o Abdul Razik r/o H. No. 178/18 Omkar Nagar, Tri Nagar, Delhi was apprehended and the blind bank burglary case wascracked.

INTERROGATION

During interrogation, the accused disclosed that he is a student of School of Open Learning,DelhiUniversitybut had got addicted to alcohol. He alongwith his associates namely Kamre Alam r/o Darbhanga jhuggi, Amar park, Inderlok; Sadik s/o Noor Ishlam r/o 145, DDA Flats Shahjada Bagh phase- II, Inderlok , Delhi; and one juvenile planned to commit theft in SBI, Inderlok. They met at temple near Gupta Complex, Inderlok where all of them consumed alcohol and at late night, came to the park behind SBI, Inderlok. The juvenile was given the task of keeping watch near Nalah, the others cutthe grill of ventilator. After cutting the grill, they all entered the bank. Sadik saw the CCTV camera and cut its wire connection. They made efforts to open the almirahs in search of cash. They could not find cash or valuables. Finally they broke down the ATM and tried to open it to take out cash from the machine but did not succeed. Thereafter, all of them escaped from the entry point itself.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS

  1. Zahid s/o Abdul Razik r/o H.No. 178/18 Omkar Nagar, tri Nagar, Delhi. (aged 18 years) is a student of Ist year ofSchoolofOpenLearning. He fell in bad company and got addicted to alcohol and smoking.
  1. Kamre alam r/o Darbhanga jhuggi, AmarPark, Inderlok, Delhi (aged 22 years) was a labourer engaged in zari work but he left the job about a month ago.
  2. Sadik s/o Noor Ishlam r/o 145, DDA Flats, Shahjada Bagh, Phase- II, Inderlok, Delhi (aged 18 years) is a student of Ist year ofSchoolof Open Learning.

and one juvenile who is also addicted of alcohol and ganja, who is unemployed and is not going to school.

RECOVERY

  1. 14 locker keys of SBI Inder lok and a saw(cutter) at the instance of accused Zahid.
  2. A torch and other implements used to ransack the bank.

INCIDENT:-

Vijay Kumar Kaushik S/o Shri Ghan Prasad R/o Village Chunsa, PS Bhira Kalan, Distt. Shamli UP reported that at about 10.30 pm he was going to meet his brother in law (Jija) at Gadhi Mandu Usmanpur and when he reached 500 mtr. ahead from Khajuri Chowk towards WazirabadBridge, some boys were coming in opposite direction, as they came near to him, four of them caught and slapped him. They robbed him of Rs. 4500/- and one mobile phone Samsung forcibly and fled away. On the statement of Vijay Kumar Kaushik a case vide FIR No. 356/12 u/s 392/34 PS Khajuri Khas was registered accordingly.

In view of the recent spurt in robbery, a dedicated team comprising of SI Sudhir Kumar, SI Anuj Kumar, HC Yashbir No. 183/NE, HC Rahishuddin No. 919/NE and Const Subhash No. 2871/NE, Ct. Vijay Kumar No. 954/NE, Ct. Shiv Dutt No. 892/NE was constituted under the leadership of Inspr. Jasood Singh Mehta, SHO/Khajuri Khas and close supervision of Sh. B.S. Ahlawat, ACP Khajuri Khas.The robbed mobile phone was put on surveillance. On the basis of secret information and surveillance report it was revealed that one Azeem S/o Safiq is using the robbed mobile phone at Barelli. The three members of above team reached Barelli and Azeem S/o Safiq was apprehended with the robbed mobile phone.

INTERROGATION/MODUS OPERANDI:-

On sustained interrogation, accused Azeem S/o Safiq disclosed that he purchased the mobile phone from one Lavi Khan S/o Naki Khan R/o B Block, Gali No. 13, Sri Ram Colony, Delhi. The team came back to Delhi alongwith accused Azeem S/o Safiq and on his instance accused Lavi Khan S/o Naki Khan was arrested from his house Sri Ram Colony who disclosed that he alongwith his five associates has committed robbery on 03.10.12 and robbed a mobile phone and cash Rs. 4500/-. Further on his discloser the remaining five accused were arrested from near Pani Ki Tanki Rajeev Vihar, where they usually gather for planning and drinks. The sections 395/412 of IPC were added.

Presently he is doing work of sewing and earns 5000/- per month. He is residing in his brother in laws house.

3)Mohd. Waseem aged about 20 years S/o Abdul Wahid, R/o Pyas Mohalla, Kasba & Police Station Sirauli, Tehsil Amla, Distt. Barelli UP and Present address H. No. 527, Gali No. 11, D Block, Sri Ram Colony, Delhi. He is illiterate and belongs to lower class family. His father is no more and he is doing work of sewing at Gandhi Nagar and earns 4000/- per month. He is living in rented house at Sri Ram Colony, Delhi.

4)Mohd. Shadab aged about 18 years S/o Rashid, R/o Pyas Mohalla, Kasba & Police Station Sirauli, Tehsil Amla, Distt. Barelli UP and Present address B Block, Gali No. 2, Sri Ram Colony, Delhi. He has studied upto V th class and belongs a lower class family. He is doing work of sewing at Gandhi Nagar and earns 4000/- per month.

5)Shablu aged about 18 years S/o Muzeem Khan, R/o Pyas Mohalla, Kasba & Police Station Sirauli, Tehsil Amla, Distt. Barelli UP and Present address B Block, Gali No. 15, Sri Ram Colony, Delhi.   • Alert Traffic officials save lives.

Traffic officials Const. Laxmi Narain, and Const. Ashok Rai of Kalkaji traffic circle showed presence of mind and through their devotion to duty saved two persons from burning Hyundai Accent on 8.10.12 near Crown Plaza Hotel, Delhi.

At about 7,00 p.m. on 08.10.12, Const. Laxmi Narain and Const. Ashok Rai were regulating traffic at Maa Anandmai Marg crossing near Hotel Crown Plaza. One Hyundai Accent car was seen coming from Lal Quan side to Kalkaji near the intersection. There was lot of smoke coming from the vehicle which had two occupants aged about 30-35 years inside the vehicle. While the inmates of vehicle struggle to come outside, Const. Laxmi Narain showed presence of mind and first opened the door next to driver. The person who was driving vehicle was struggling because of smoke and non-opening of door and with the timely assistance of Const. Laxmi Narain , he came out of the vehicle. He was later on identified as Pitul. Meanwhile, Const. Laxmi Narain opened all other doors of the vehicle which was emitting smoke all around. The other occupant of the car who was later on identified as Naveen also came out of the vehicle. Const. Laxmi Narain ensured that there was no other person trapped inside the vehicle in front and back seats. Soon after the vehicle caught fire and got completely damaged.

Const. Ashok Rai was operating traffic at the intersection at the time of incident. He showed presence of mind and he maneuvered traffic signal in a way to stop traffic from all four sides. Soon the fire brigade and PCR vehicle were called on the spot which could take action of putting out fire from the burning vehicle.

The vehicle DL-3CBZ 0711 is owned by Oyster Bath Concepts Pvt. Limited, Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-I. Pitul and Naveen work for the Company.

Const. Laxmi Narain,age 24, joined Delhi Police in 2010 and is with Traffic Police since 2011 while Const. Ashok Rai, age 43, joined Delhi Police in 1988 and has been with Traffic Police since 2009.

For the excellent work done by Const. Laxmi Narain and Const. Ashok Rai, their names are being forwarded for cash reward and Commendation Roll by Commissioner of Police, Delhi

A NOTORIOUS ROBBER ARRESTED

Introduction

Shalimar Bagh Police of North West District has arrested one notorious robber namely Anil @ Sonu @ Foda s/o Ram Gopal r/o C-42 Gali-8, Vill. Shalimar, Delhi. Earlier, he has been involved in seven cases mostly comprising of robbery cases. A stolen mobile phone and Rs. 600/- have been recovered from his possession.

Incident

Miss Kajal Kamble (working as teacher in MCD School, Jahangir Puri) d/o Sh. Uttam Kamble r/o H.No 58-A, R.B.I Colony, Shalimar Bagh reported that on 8.10.12 at about 7.15 AM, while she was going to school and reached near Phatak No. 7 under pass, 4 boys obstructed her way. First boy forcefully covered her face, second tried to snatch her purse and the other two boys were keeping watch at the surrounding areas. When she objected them, the boys gave fist blows to her stomach, forcefully snatched her bag and ran away. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 269/12 dated 8.10.12 u/s 392/34 IPC PS Shalimar Bagh was registered on the complaint of Miss Kajal Kamble. Thereafter, a police team comprising of SI Rattan Kumar, SI Sanjay, Ct. Sachin, Ct Man Singh & Ct. Shambu Tewari under the close supervision of Inspr. Veer Singh, SHO/Shalimar Bagh was constituted. The said team deployed sources to gather intelligence about the criminals having same modus operandi and finally it revealed that one Anil @ Sonu @ Foda s/o Ram Gopal r/o C-42 Gali-8, Vill. Shalimar, Delhi released from jail on 6.7.12 in case FIR No 405/11 u/s 392/394/397/411/34 IPC P.S. Shalimar Bagh along with other associates were found to be involved behind the crime. Accordingly, a trap was laid and accused Anil @ Sonu @ Foda was apprehended on 8.10.12. On his personal search, a stolen mobile and Rs. 600/- were recovered from his possession.
