o  Place

o  Region

o  Relative location

o  Physical system

o  Human system

I currently reside in Miami, Florida, which is located in the Southeast region of the United States. Miami is located at the mouth of the Miami River on the lower east coast of Florida and, borders the Atlantic Ocean. The physical system of Florida includes the KOE system which is the Kissimmee River, Okeechobee, and Everglades. Last, the human system of Florida would include the Crystal River power plant which was a power plant that cracked and they shut it down. They produced radioactive material there, which effected the environment.

2.  Convince someone to move to a U.S. city of your choice, by describing the location using terms from the lesson. Be sure to include the name of the city and state you are writing about and make your response at least one paragraph in length.

Anyone about to move should consider moving is Seattle, Washington. Seattle is arguably the best place to live in the U.S. Seattle is located in the Pacific Northwest region of North America and is one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation. It also is the largest city in that region. Seattle is located south of British Columbia (Canada), west of Idaho and north of Oregon and very close to Puget Sound, an inlet of the Pacific Ocean. Seattle is well known for their landmarks such as The Space Needle, which is Seattle's most recognizable landmark. The Space Needle, is an observation tower that provides quite a view such as the downtown Seattle skyline and also the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, Elliott Bay, and surrounding islands. The tower is sort of indestructible too, made to survive strong winds and earthquakes, and has more than a dozen lightning rods. Seattle’s physical system includes Puget Sound, Lake Forest Park, and a few islands including Vashon Island, Bainbridge Island, and Mercer Island.
