Overall Job Purpose:
Responsible to the Leisure Manager for the day-to-day operation of the Gyms and Fitness within Corby East Midlands International Pool and Lodge Park Sports Centre with responsibility for Health and Fitness Teams
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Managing the operation of the gyms and fitness facilities and programme ensuring that duties are carried out in accordance with the facilities Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans
- Increase and develop membership and monitor the retention of gym customers to achieve membership and income targets
- Ensure an excellent standard of customer care is implemented and maintained in line with the Customer Care Policy and Customer Charter
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of systems and records in relation to Quality Awards, in particular Quest and Inclusive Fitness Initiative awards
- Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all persons to comply with the policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety within the facility
- Co-ordinate and manage the studio and gym timetables including the management of training systems ensuring licence fees, professional memberships, training and contract of agreements are adhered to.
- To positively promote the facilities and drive membership sales through marketing, promotions, displays and events.
- Work in partnership with industry partners and companies to develop marketing plans to promote gyms and fitness and drive up memberships
- Ensure that all fitness staff hold and keep recognised qualifications up to date through Continual Professional Development training, in order to deliver quality services to customers which reflects the latest fitness industry knowledge and trends
- Operation and updating of the Leisure Management system PLUS2 to support the Leisure Mangers which includes memberships, facility bookings, payments, online booking, etc.
- Support the Leisure Manager to develop the ‘Community Outreach Health and Fitness’ programme
- Support the Leisure Manager to deliver the Health and Wellbeing Plan for Corby and promote gyms and fitness through promotions, programmes and initiatives i.e. CBC Workplace Health programme, Workplace Challenge
- Assist the Leisure Management team to develop the facilities gym and fitness programme by researching into upgrading of equipment and new technologies
- Work in partnership to deliver and monitor health associated schemes e.g. GP Referral, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Stroke Rehabilitation
- Assist in the gathering, collating and monitoring of relevant management information including performance indicators, Best Value Statistics and other Statistical Information

- The post holder must be able to travel to and from facilities in order to undertake the role
- The salary is all inclusive and the post holder will be required to work evenings/weekends on a rota basis, for which appropriate time off in the week will be given. This will be subject to change according to the needs of the business.
