Young Musicians’ Biographical Sketches

Master Bryan Wilson-Joseph has been exposed to the steel pan since his birth and began to read and play music at age two. Now, at age ten, he is quite an accomplished panist. Bryan attends the Metropolitan Seventh-day Adventist Church and is a member of the Metropolitan Symphony Steel Orchestra. He was introduced to the group when, as a baby, he sat and slept through many rehearsals waiting on his mother, Carol Wilson-Joseph, who is credited with teaching young Bryan everything he knows about the steel pan. Bryan has played for various church services and social gatherings in Missouri, New York, the WashingtonMetropolitan area, and at the Seventh-day Adventist World Headquarters. He was also one of the soloists with the OttleyMusicSchool, as they played for the 2005 NBC Camp 4. One can only imagine what God has in store for this Maestro in the making! Bryan will provide the anthem selection for today’s service.

Master Nathaniel Cogenis a 14 year old 9th grader, who loves music and particularly enjoys playing the piano. Nathaniel began formal musical training at the age of five and has been sharing his God-given talent at various church services, community events, and recitals. As a recent graduate of Clarksville Middle School, he performed with the Jazz Band and was the accompanist for the Chamber Choir, in addition to the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade choirs. Nathaniel’s mother believes that God has a very special plan for his life. At birth, three times his family was told he had only a 50 percent chance of survival; hence the Teaneck, New Jersey Church family refers to Nathaniel as its miracle child. Nathaniel loves the Lord anddesires to be dedicated to Him in service. Nathaniel will provide the offertory selection for today’s service

Miss Annisse Murillois a vibrant ten year old,who began showing an interest in music ministry at age four and shares her talent at family gatherings, community events, and church services. She is a member of the Children's Choir at FaithMoravianChurch. During the summers of 2006 and 2007 she attended the Children of the Gospel Workshop at the VermontStreetBaptistChurch in Washington, DC. Additionally, Annisse has also been accepted into the Washington Performing Arts Society, Children of the Gospel Choir. In January 2007, she performed at the KennedyCenter as part of the WPAS Man, Woman, and Children of the Gospel Mass Choir. On September 10, 2007 Annisse was featured on the NBC Today Show. Though Annisse is only ten years of age, she is committed to encouraging and uplifting others in song whenever she can.Annisse will provide the meditation selection for today’s service.
