***Uniform Policy Update. Please review the uniform policy before you begin your shopping for next year. The uniform policy is on the website. Remember shirt color has been narrowed to white or navy only and all students are required to have a school uniform sweater/sweatshirt or zip up fleece. Spokane Uniform has a few options to choose from but they must have the Assumption Logo.
Dennis School Uniform Store
shop online or at one of their stores located in downtown Spokane for school uniforms and sweatshirt orders. School code is ZSA010 .

School Uniform Closet

The uniform closet is located in the admin office, outside the teacher'sbreak room. This closet is a collection of uniforms donated by our families that no longer are using them. A variety of items for boys and girls are organized by size as well as by tops, bottoms, skirts and sweatshirts. Drop by during school hours to either donate or take what your student needs.

Additional Information

  • Students may wear uniform shorts until October 31, and beginning on the first day after spring break. Shorts may be worn on school Mass days.
  • Shorts, skirts, skorts and jumpers should be at a modest length-at the knee; no shorter than 3 inches above the knee. (Please be aware that children come in all shapes and sizes, have students sit, kneel and stand to see if length is appropriate in a variety of positions.)
  • All shirts and blouses should be tucked in.
  • The sixth, seventh and eighth graders will have the privilege of free dress every Friday. Those abusing this privilege will receive one warning. After that, they will lose the privilege for the following Friday.
  • On designated free dress days, students are still expected to dress appropriately. Halter tops, tank tops, bare midriffs, tight fitting or loose fitting (baggy), visible underwear or any other clothing identified by staff to be inappropriate will be considered unacceptable attire and students will be asked to change their clothing. Appropriate shorts may be worn. This includes jean shorts provided that they are of walking short length, hemmed, and have no holes or tears in them.
  • No hats, kerchiefs or head coverings.
  • Students who belong to Camp Fire, Girl Scouts or Boy scouts or other similar youth groups may wear the group’s uniform on meeting days.
  • Plain is designated as no distinguishable labels, logos, or decorative distinctions. This would include stitching on pants, slits and wide flairs.
  • Deviations from school uniform rules will be brought to the attention of the parents. It is the parents’ responsibility to make sure that children are properly dressed. Students out of uniform will be asked to call home for uniform clothing.
Assumption sweatshirts are ordered annually each fall. Ordering information is sent home in the Thursday newsletter at the beginning of the school year. A small stock is available in the school office during the school year. The school has a uniform exchange cupboard available to all families. For more information please contact the school office.
Please be aware that although some stores sell “uniform” clothing, it may not be a part of our dress exceptions make a uniform code hard to enforce.
