4.  Agenda Setting

5.  Presentation #1: 11-14/0523r0, “MAC simulation results for Dynamic sensitivity control (DSC - CCA adaptation) and transmit power control (TPC)”, Laurent Cariou (Orange)

6.  Presentation #2: 11-14/0527r0, “PHY Abstraction for TGax System Level Simulations”, Ron Murias (InterDgital)

7.  AoB

8.  Adjourn

Chair asked for any changes and modifications to the proposed agenda. No changes were made.

The agenda was approved.

Agenda Item #5: Presentation #1

Laurent Cariou (Orange presented “MAC simulation results for Dynamic sensitivity control (DSC - CCA adaptation) and transmit power control (TPC)” based on 11-14/523r0.

<Summary>

l  Simulations conducted to investigate the impact of CCA threshold and TPC on the system throughput.

l  Both DSC and TPC offer per-user throughput gain. With legacy STAs, benefit from TPC may be limited.

l  The margin for rate adaptation needs to be investigated.

<Discussions

l  C: Throughput of low SNR user need to be studied. Distribution of throughput should be evaluated.

l  C: Would like to see results of changing the margin and MCS.

l  Q: Traffic condition? à 50/50 for up and down.

l  C: Would like to know other simulation conditions such as packet size, MAC parameters.

l  C: Minimum margin? à Maybe, from 20 – 25 dB. Need more studies.

Agenda Item #6: Presentation #2

Pengfei Xia (InterDgital) presented “PHY Abstraction for TGax System Level Simulations” based on 11-14/0527r0

<Summary>

l  For the ESM (Effective SINR Mapping) for PHY abstraction, promising mapping method for BCC/LDPC, SISO, over Channel Model B & D have been studied.

l  RBIR is effective in predicting instantaneous PER result for MCS 0 - 6.

l  Results for the higher MCS and MIMO to be presented later.

<Discussions>

l  C: The assumptions for the data size should be included in the slides.

Agenda Item #7: AOB

l  Plans for May 2014 session

Ø  9 slots requested for TGax. Call for submission is announced and sent out to the reflector.

Ø  Q: Preferred topics for the initial TG session?

²  Good to continue with the discussion we had in the HEW SG.

²  Any topics will be welcomed.

Agenda Item #8: Adjourn

TGax teleconference adjourned on April 17th, 2014 at 11:07 (ET).
