With 25 members in attendance, President Robert (Bob) Lesjakopened the meeting at 7:45pm.
Margaret made a motion to approve the VYS Annual Meeting minutes of June 15, 2016. David seconded the motion, and it passedunanimously.
Bob provided an overview of the club highlights over the past year including an outstanding year of program delivery to house, travel, TOPS and adult players and winter and summer programs. VYS joined the Super Y league and the Vigirgina Developmental Acadamy. The club launched a new website with improved mobile access. VYS’ financial condition is sound. Bob thanked all the VYS Staff for their expert leadership in the delivery of excellent programs. He also gave thanks to all the parents, volunteers, league reps, team managers and who contribute so much to VYS.
Bob recognized Laura Skoff, the outgoing VYSExecutive Director, for her professional manner of running the day to day activities of VYS since January 2016 and thanked her for her leadership, dedication and hard work.
Bob recognized Mike Gurdak for his 12 years of volunteer leadership as Vice President of House and thanked him for his passion and conviction of reinforcing and enforcing VYS polices.
Bob presented the Board of Directors slate for 2017 -2018 (attached as Exhibit A) and certified that Notice was given to the Membership of the Annual Meeting on June 2. There were no other candidates were running for the Board, so Bob made a motion for the members to vote to approve the 2016-2017 Board of Directors slate. David seconded the motion. The Board slate was approved unanimously by the members present.
Bob ended the Annual Meeting at 7:55pm.
