Employment with Camp Onomia:
Our programs are committed to provide a caring atmosphere toward each young person or family camper in our midst within the context of a wholesome and safe Christian community.
All staff are expected to participate in a paid staff training program. All staff will report to camp on Tuesday, May 29th, 2018. Staff training begins on May 29th through June 9th and is a paid training. Summer camp programs begin on June 11th and ends on August 10th, 2018. All staff are required to stay onsite until August 12th for end of summer staff appreciation weekend. Some positions may have different starting or ending dates, as contracted.
All staff members must attend all training sessions before interacting with guests/campers.
The work week generally runs Sunday noon through 5 pm Friday, with staff expected to work portions of at least two weekends during the summer session as part of their weekly stipend.
We expect loyal service and have set high standards for our employees. We will strive to provide a positive and safe environment for all camp participants. We expect our summer staff to help keep our camp drug and alcohol free. We also expect our summer staff to display high standards of conduct in the local communities during your period of summer employment. Your signature on this staff application indicates that you are willing to work according to this policy. If you wish to view the full summer staff personnel policy before applying, please contact the camp office.
Your signature indicates that you have read this statement and that your application reflects your background and abilities fairly.
