8:00AM – 5k Start
8:15AM-9:10AM – 5K Participants finishing
9:00AM – First call for lining up 1 Mile
9:10AM – 1 Mile Run/walk Start
9:20AM – 5K Awards Presented
9:35AM – 1 Mile Awards Presented
RACE TEAM [6:00AM - 7:00AM]
1. 6:30 AM Race Team Meeting at Finish Line
2. Race Team check-in at Volunteer Tent beside [REGISTRATION TENT OR SOME OTHER PLACE]
REGISTRATION [7:00AM - 7:50AM]
- Pick-up your race number and [t-shirt] at the registration tents
- Haven’t registered yet? Visit the Registration tents
- Bathrooms are located near the [LOCATION], next to the [LANDMARK]
- [5K] will start at [8:00AM]
o Start lining up at the Start line around 7:50 AM

- 1 Mile Starts at [9:00 AM] (immediately after the final [5K] finisher)
- Award Ceremony will start at [9:20 AM] (immediately after the [1 Mile] )

o The 10K course continues past the 5K turnaround so 10K runners keep going! (Out and Back)

BEFORE START [7:35AM - 8:00AM]
- 5K Start @ 8:00AM, 1 Mile 9:00AM
- Line up at 7:45AM
- [Water, granola, and bananas] are available for runners after the race located under the refreshments tents
- You can find your live results at the [Results tents located just beyond the finish line near the sponsor tents]
- Give general instructions of course layout
o Crossing major roads/intersections
o Where water is located
o if different courses address 5K then 10K separately
o run in lane going with traffic/stay in coned lane
o follow the lead car and pay attention to the course attendants
- Welcome [Sponsor or charity representative] to address the runners [OPTIONAL]
- If you registered for the 5K, DO NOT run the 10K race route. If you registered for the 10K, do not run the 1 mile race. And so on.
- Awards are based on who gets to the finish line first.
DURING 5K RACE [8:00AM – 9:00AM]
- Announce runners’ names as they come in
- Announce location of water/food and results location
- Award ceremony will be at [9:15AM] [AT THIS LOCATION]
- Begin gathering runners for 1 Mile Start @ 9:00AM
POST RACE [9:30AM – 10:30AM]

AWARDS SCRIPT
“Welcome to the [Race]: Thank you so much [for being great and helping this charity].
We want to thank [LIST OF MAIN SPONSORS] and of course [THIS CHARITY].
[I’d like to introduce [CHARITY REPRESENTATIVE’S NAME] the [FOUNDER OF THE CHARITY].”
Let charity/sponsor representative give a quick 2 miniute thanks and explanation of how exactly the race helped them do whatever it is that the charity does.
Announce Awards
**If door prizes, give them out randomly between announcing age groups**
Begin announcing Male & Female in each Category as follows
Overall
*call them up one by one, announce their time, and say what they won
Masters
* these are the fastest people over the age of 40
*call them up one by one, announce their time, and say what they won
Age Divisions (youngest to oldest)
*explain the order that will be announced (Ex: youngest to oldest)
*Only pause briefly between announcing each name and only announce the winners time
- there are lots of people to award so you want to keep things moving quickly (more than one person will be walking up at the same time – but don’t announce it so fast that the person handing out the medals can’t keep up)
Family Fun Run
*call them up one by one, announce their time, and say what they won
