Weekly stitching days

Wednesdays & Thursdays each week / Regular workshops with Kath,these are ideal for bringing your own project along to whether you are beginning something new or finishing something that you started earlier. Book one week at a time.
You can also work on a project from a book or kit that you may have bought at a show, shop or internet that you may need help with. Even if you have started a project with another tutor I am sure that between us we can get it finished.
If you are unsure about how to progress then expert advise is available throughout the sessions. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere and stitch with like minded people without feeling guilty for taking some ‘me time’ and without other distractions. / Days– 10am to 2.00pm £10

This class is ideal for anyone who wants to continue with their goldwork or embroidery projects under the guidance of a friendly experienced tutor. Bring along work you may have started with Caroline or if you have a kit that you may need extra help with. / 10 – 3.00pm £15

Block of the month Patchwork

Using the fabulous Moda Fabrics by French General - Chateau Rouge - create this patchwork quiltmonth by month, by working on the blocks in between these sessions then you should have a stunning quilt top at the end of the 6 months.
Choose the day that suits your diary. / 10am – 12 pm 6 sessions £50 (not including fabrics)

New for 2013 - a regular back to basics course – Friday or Saturdays available

Friday and/or Saturday once a fortnight, rolling programme, call me for next date / / Back to basics Patchwork with Kath– this is suitable for those wishing to learn the art of patchwork or for those who want to refresh or improve their technical skills while creating a sampler quilt. The blocks will be tailored to your skill level and include a variety of techniques. Tips on thread, needles, colour etc. This will also include getting to know your sewing machine. Payment is for a block of 5 weeks. / 10-12pm 5 weeks £50 (not including Fabric)
Friday once a month. Call me for next date. / Back to basics embroidery with Caroline – learn the basic embroidery stitches, build your own reference resource and gain confidence while creating a sampler that can be used to make a cushion or wall hanging as a reminder of the construction of stitches for future projects. This is also suitable if you want to refresh your knowledge or improve your techniques. / 12-2pm £10

Knitting Club – a regular session – choose from a Friday afternoon or Saturday once a month

Once a month call me for next date / Knit Club with Kath– If you would like to learn to knit or would like to be with others who enjoy knitting then this is an ideal opportunity. Work on your own projects or I have a variety of quick projects to help you. / 12-2pm £5

Lace making – a regular session on Tuesday Evening

please call for details. / / Bobbin Lace making with Caroline– If you would like to learn the traditional art of bobbin lace making then come along to this relaxed session with an expert tutor. Try before you buy – Bobbins, thread and pillows are available to loan to start with. Start with a simple design using a few pairs of bobbins and see how quickly you progress to more complex designs. If you already make lace but want a peaceful relaxed atmosphere without distractions and working with other like minded people to share ideas with or talk through tricky designs then this is also for you. / £7.50

Miniature Patchwork

15th July / / Miniature Patchwork with Kath – bring your own project or begin a fresh one. Miniature scale that can be used for a variety of uses, mug rugs, dolls house, table centres, cushions, wall hangings, bags etc etc. Although these workshops are for working on your own projects there are some days throughout the year when specific projects are also available as I am led very much by those attending these days to establish what you want to work on.
Past projects have included mug rugs, bookmarks, needlecases, box tops etc. / 10 – 3.00pm £15

Regular Watercolour Painting days

This regular class is suitable for complete beginners or those with more experience. Learn about the use of colour different techniques whilst painting a variety of topics. Barry’s friendly relaxed teaching style encourages you to explore different topics and working within a group gives you motivation to carry on with your hobby. Topics include a variety of landscapes and still life. Through practice Barry will encourage you to develop your own style / 10 – 4.00pm £20
