Welcome to Round TWO of 2014/15 Tasmanian State Competition, 17th and 18 th January 2015

Based at Miena/Bronte Park

Introduction

Fly Fish Australia Inc, Tasmanian Chapter (FFA) is holding Round Two of the 2014/2015 State Competitions (championship event) for ranking points at Miena, Bronte park and southern venueson the weekend of 17th and 18thJanuary 2015.

Competitors who are members of FFA at the time of participating are eligible to represent Tasmania at the Nationals in November/December 2015. Non FFA members are welcome to enter as well but will not be eligible to represent Tasmania.

Round Two is being held over two days with competitors to fish fourthree hour sessions on each of the following waters:

  • Little Pine Lagoon
  • Pine Tier Lagoon
  • Bronte Lagoon
  • Lake King William

Session times approx are from 0800 to 1100 hours and 1300 to 1600 hours on the Saturday and Sunday. Competitors not familiar with the rules of the competition can contact the organisers directly (0419 177706 or 0429 197543) or visit the website for details.

Competition areas are closed to registered competitors and their agents for practice 48 hours prior to the competition or as of midnight Wed 14th Jan 2015 as per FFA rulings

All competitors need to ensure they do not seek assistance from friends, family or acquaintances that may fish these waters prior to the competition.

Registration Details

The enclosed registration form must be completed and submitted no later than close of business on Fri 9thJan 2015.

AGM and Briefing sessions

A competitors briefing will be held at Miena or Bronte Park (TBA)from 6.30 for 7pm, Friday16th Jan. Competitors need to be present at the briefing session to receive a Competitor’s Pack including details on the competition event, rules and fishing times.

Note: Competitors will be placed in their groupings for this competition based on their final ranking after the 2013/14 season and any new or interstate anglers will be drawn randomly.

Registration Fee

Entry fee for Round Twois $25 for Young Guns and $60 for FFA Members (excluding membership and insurance).

Any competitor bringing a new member to the competition or a boat is only required to pay $40.
